Hey, Happy Sunday. Just finished building the duck blind, and finished my prep work in the kitchen for tonights BBQ. Here it is, and hope you enjoy, and try it some time.

The fare will be: Cuban style hamburgers, macaroni and veg, salad, and sliced tomato, cucumber, and radishes, with choice of dressing.
The hamburger's are easy, just grill the burger of your liking, on the bun place a slice of swiss cheese top and bottom, baked, Honey-of a ham slices, dill pickle slices, and a good hot mustard. Whem burgers are almost grilled, place on roll together with everything, place everything back on the grill, and weight down with foil covered brick to flatten, cook until the bun is toasty, and enjoy!

Scott, the sushi looked real good, one of my favorite dishes, I really could live on that, sashimi, and ceviche. It's all the exotic dipping sauces you can make that adds the difference.

See you all later....Gary

Barb,

Just a special addition for you, no reason that you couldn't use a veggie burger, or I would think a salmon burger would fit real good in place of the meat.....Gary

Now that I feel comfortable with the basics of Sushi making,
I can try new combinations, exotic ingredients and presentation.

I still need to fine tune my rice preparation
and be sure to roll tightly.

Right now I have enough ingredients to make about 10 rolls.

More better than ramen!

Hope that I don't get tired of sushi.....

Not likely!

Best,

Scott

Scott,

I'm not sure who makes it, but there is on a machine just to make sushi rice, the pictures I've seen of it is like that of a crock pot/ pressure cooker combination. I'll do a little looking around, and see what I can find......Gary

I think my rice preparation consistency is fine,
I just need to increase the rice vinegar.
Didn't want to use too much at first....
Guess it's an individual taste kinda thing.....

And I can make a veggie sushi for Barb!

I found my way to that schoolyard today for a couple of hours....

Nothing spectacular,
but a chance to get outside for awhile.

Best,

Scott

OK.
Back to studyin'

Looks like you did pretty good in that school. yard today. The ground is rock hard here and I am to lazy to hit the beach.
I eat fish, so your sushi recipe is fine. :)

Well then, this certainly explains why I've got a Parrot, a Tortoise and NO Kittens...

Barb,

Yep but he still kept his territorial instinct.

Bill

Yep, and now this explains why I don't like ANY of my neighbors. (not since I was 32 years old anyway)

This is sure an educational thread!
