CRISPINS CRITTERS

For some reason tonight has the feel of a celebration......Just broke out a cask of homemade hard cider, and a gal. of fresh cider( for Squiggy), and hold up your glasses as I pour.......and let us all see 10,000 posts on this thread......skol.......Gary

I would do almost anything for a nice mug of Cider and ice after this horrendous 14 hour day. :laughing7: Why can I almost never hit only the 40 hours in four days every week which is stated on my current contract? Oh well only 10 hours tomorrow then the family and I will be heading back out to the bush for a annual Smallmouth Bass tournament and I'll definitely be doing some digging this weekend as well.

Good luck in the fishing tournament, and hopefully some great finds!

Crispin,

Actually I went back to the first few pages of the thread and there were only 6 or so of us at the beginning and a few confused people that didn't have a clue what we were all about....including us probably.....lol...

Regards + HH

Bill

Squiggy,
Congrats on the Charter Membership, you are most deserving.

Bill,
One small correction to your previous statement. This is not "my thread." This thread belongs to Tnet and all of its present and future members. I'm just one of the crazy people that got the ball rolling. I seem to remember a lot of other people who played a large role in that. I will not name them, one can always go back and read the history...

Oh yes Backbacon,Dang contracts. Quite the concept for some people.
Time to get some summer in, shes starting to wane.
20 minutes per keeper avg. on bluegills today. Warm water so fishing deep. Called a large mouth going to jump from depth and still lost em.
Hang in there, good fishing/hunting to you.

Hey everyone, I am going to order my Sand Shark in a few minutes!

So it's a killer on the beaches eh? How much do they cost? I've had my new AT Pro out a few times this season and it seemed to work out alright. I dragged a friend of mine out detecting on a beach out at the cabin last weekend and he is now hooked for life like I am. Ice cold beer in one hand and the detectors in the other, we had a blast and managed a few dollars worth of clad and pulled some nails and about 3 dozen tent pegs out of the sand, managed a few dozen beer caps too. This weekend I may have to enlighten my friend about the folks that roamed the land we will be on many moons ago... I'm pumped people, Mr. DJ this cat would like to hear something from the Godfather of Soul if possible?

I've only fished for bluegills once when I was at a forward attack base in between Kenora and Fort Francis. As for the bass, ever try tube jigs or top water lures for them? How about rubber lizards marinated in a ginger soya sauce rigged Texas style?

Was laid off most of a summer after breaking new boat in in Canada!.(87). Did some moon lighting but we all so set a new record for fishing. That year we got into buzz baits. Avg. 3/8 oz.... Man o man!a few doubles and just great numbers and sizes.Night time with jitter bugs and hula poppers, i missed a few , gotta wait till you feel them strike, i kept taking it away on the kaalooosh!!. Last mega sized smallie came trolling for walleye with crawler harness.

Never tried ginger soya!.

Believe it or not.... I caught and released 24 1/4 incher which weighed 7.2 LBS on my Berkley digital scale. Would have won the Molson Big Fish contest and had the new Ontario record for Smallmouth Bass that year if I didn't release her. Would I do it all over again? In a heart beat. Gotta try the Chug Bug, kind of like a Hula Popper juiced up on a Lance Armstrong or A Rod strength of a cocktail. The most superior top water bait on the face of the planet IMOHO.
