CRISPINS CRITTERS

Jeff,

Glens Falls is about 45 mins south of my house. And if you ever get a chance to get back here, Lake George is real close to Glens Falls, and the ride North up RT 9, the backside of LG, goes through the foothills of the Adirondacks, and into the Village of Ticonderoga, and the southern boundary of Lake Champlain, the home of CHAMP, a relative to Nessy, from Loch Ness. Beautiful country! Gary

Guys, another night is coming to a close. We have a veteran who resides here on the lake in the summer, ever night as the sun sets, he stands on his shore and blows taps. Tonight, he has just finished, and it's time to turn in. Gary

In the spirit of the sinking boats on the lake that GMD has been dealing with I though I would post this song. Another of my favorites...

I managed to come up with 3 boxes of books to donate this morning.

1-IMG_0535.JPG

I put off mowing because of stormy weather yesterday evening.

Had a close call...
When I got home,
A large tree branch had fallen right where I normally park.

If it would have hit my little S-10, it most likely would have caused significant damage.

I cut it up and will take it on my next camping trip.
I also picked up other limbs from the yard and will probably mow tomorrow when the grass is dryer.

Best,

Scott

Diesel,

Good choice a great talent from Canada....thanks for posting it up.

Scott, glad to hear you averted a possible disaster! Damage to your truck is one of the last things you need for sure. Funny how things happen some times.

35 years is a long time Bill! I am sure in that span of time you saw some amazing things and have some good stories. Gordon has a way of drawing you into the story for sure!

Diesal,
Thanks for the music, also one of my favorites. A lot quieter today, only scattered showers, and much calmer Lake, although it's still rising, less than a foot from flooding. Friends from Springvale, Me. just arrived on vacation, and got them moved into their camp. Looks like a couple days of fishing over the 4th, and some relaxing times.

Getting ready to smoke some lake trout, and will let you know how it turns out..... Going to troll around and see what's happening, be back later......Gary

Glad you liked the music! And really glad to hear the lake is stabilizing! Enjoy the fourth and I hope you catch many trout!

Diesel,

Yeah I've got lots of stories....lol....and a few of them I can actually share.

Working in the railroad industry tends to make you tough as nails.....you have to be if you want to survive...probably why I don't get upset by much any more....been there and done that as they say.

Bill, being tough as nails is an asset for sure. Sometime maybe I can get you to tell a story or two (the ones that probably shouldn't be told! LOL!)

Here is another of Gordon's best songs:

Evening Folks,

Eva and I were called out of town for an emergency consult. I see we broke 4,000 while we were gone...can't wait to find out who got the spot. We brought the detector and got a chance to dabble a bit. Will be flying back in tomorrow. I have over 100 posts to catch up with, lol.

Crispin

Ps. Still thinking about you Barb. Eva says take it one day at at time.
