CRISPINS CRITTERS

My daughter decided she wants to ride. My wife has apprehensions. Seems thee Oregon Viking had street bike shenanigans, before we met see....
Tickets? Yeh about 20. Excessive tire noise, careless driving (3) riding wheelies...yeh downtown...130 + across the Chetco bridge... two 50+ MPH wrecks (walked away). But see I have learned!

So I traded a guitar for a 2007 Suzuki DRZ 125L. Four stroke, considered a beginners bike. Wow. I have been riding since I was 8 years old, so to tell a 23 year old... just go! Well some understanding is needed...let go of the throttle, the kill switch is your friend...The front brake is not really to be used in a cornering situation.... I actually made a throttle limiter. I bought a couple of bicycle brake cable adjusters... works great!

They woke me up.. gobble, gobble.. STF up!:laughing7: The Thanksgiving twins were following... a very plain lady... I'm sure she has a great personality.

Nice uh friends there OV. My first bike was a RM 125. I loved it! Wheelies were often my friend, riding by my girlfriend ā€˜s house standing up on it. Her mom said ā€œ you better stay away from that boy. Heā€™s going to get killed on that motorcycle!ā€ Hehe mom, I made it through puberty!!!!!!!!

Back then Suzukiā€™s were yellow, black and white

i'm looking into getting a XR80. any thoughts? is it a good starter bike

Depends , whatcha doin with it?
For chasin cows it'd be alright. But it is light.
Around 154 lbs.
That can make you top heavy and needing to really pay attention which way is up.

For putting around an XL series has better odds of being street legal.
Thing is , highways usually have minimum C.C. requirements above 250.

If you're going to run the street a Honda Rebel might be worth checking out if the market in your area is reasonable.
A 250 for a couple weeks , and then a 500....?

I've logged more Miles on Honda's so don't take the suggestions as anything more...

Started on a Suzuki 125 Enduro. Bought a 68 Honda CL 350 enduro , and eventually a 73 (?)CB 500-4 Honda.
Has access to other bikes and rode a variety of 750's ,900 ect..

Too light is too light. Too heavy is too heavy.

Always wear gear designed to save your eggshell skull , and to keep your own hide from getting ground off. And when on the road expect no one to see you when it comes to getting run over.

i'm going to use it to ride around a dirt track we got and around the property

If you were closer , I'd have you try out a 79 Heald Supertryke... Rough suspension though.
Mine looks a lot like this one. 10-11 H.P. enough to blow your hat off. Steer with the brakes on ice or tight turns...
Kits ran around 500 bucks and up in the seventies..

that looks cool. mother won't let me have a three wheeler, she says its to dangerous

This guy....
If he used the brake on one side he could drift it and be sideways and beyond to corner if he'd get into the throttle.
Could definitely be going faster...L.o.l..

Your mother and I don't share the history of me dumping two wheeled bikes!

Low center of gravity on these. I've had the rear wheels about 3:00 -9:00( to my right or left off the handlebar on whichever side) on ice and can recover it.
I have "plowed" on other type trikes and getting traction during a slide with a high center of gravity , and or being on two wheels.....Yeah mom's right.

she thinks ATV's are safer i don't think they are. if a ATV is going over its going over. were as if a bike does you can put your feet down

I had the RM, my cousin rode a Honda 80. Like a timex it took a licking and kept ticking. Theyā€™re fast, but small. How tall are you

3 wheelers are dangerous. I like 4 wheelers but anything can be dangerous. We rode 4 wheelers and bikes in the military. On the ATV you could pack a med ruck, a Barrett 50 caliber and one litter. We parachuted both vehicles. You have to be trained on everything. When I took the ATV course at night my friend was acting stupid and flipped the ATV over on himself, breaking his ribs, and ribs pierced his lung causing a tension pneumothorax.......... we had to
ā€œ dartā€ him......... not cool
