CRISPINS CRITTERS

Drugs are on the rise here in Oregon, everywhere else also I imagine. Transients are allowed to camp/squat on public property thanks to an supreme appeals court ruling.. Liberal judge... so our library had 20-30 homeless camps on it's property! Tents on our boardwalk ... tourists see that. You are just aware of them now because you see them a lot more. They are getting violent too.

Grants Pass has 34,000 residents now, it is booming. Stores are popping up everywhere. I can buy things in GP. Arrows and archery equipment. Motorcycle parts and accessories, stuff for my guitars. Brookings does not have any of those needed items, great for ling cod, surf perch, salmon, steelhead, and the beaches. Plus I can fly up I-5 to Medford , 80,000 plus, for even more "shopping" opportunities. I shop online but its nice to get what you need or want.. now.

My RC hobby, I buy all of that stuff online, RC trucks, planes boats and drones... hey sounds like a song!... upgrades, LiPo batteries etc. Especially plane parts when some dumb ass breaks the wings!

Oh the poverty in GP. I have not seen it. Multiple businesses big, small, that town is growing in leaps and bounds.
In and out burger, Red robin, Winco foods...to name a few. I guess the minimum wage jobs... that would be inviting poverty. Education.. trade school I highly recommend, or start at the bottom in construction like I did. I used to dig the ditches for the concrete, now I order the concrete! :laughing7:
I used to carry the studs for the house... now I build the house! poor examples I know but I haven't drank for 10 days.. tonight I... well you can guess, right bro!:tongue3: My wordsmith skills are stifled, influenced and *******afeid. HEH. I did learn I can quit drinking without ill DT like effects. Saves money too!

That’s insane about the bums camping on public areas!!!! Sounds like Seattle! Here we escort those people off. In and out burger??? I’m jealous! I don’t even have McDonald’s here!!![emoji2959]

Joke of the day — Wife hit her husband with frying pan. Husband: "What was that for?" Wife: "I found a paper in your pocket with the name Jenny on it" Husband: "I took part in a race last week and Jenny was the name of my horse" Wife: "Sorry!" Next day wife hit him with the frying pan again Husband: "What now?" Wife: "Your horse is on the Phone"

Medford has a Field and Stream half the building is a Dick's sporting goods. It has as much stuff as the Eugene Cabelas!
Grants Pass now has a harbor freight, some of the tools are cheap but a lot of them get the job done on a budget. My wood working tools though, are all high quality name brands.

Today was a good day....

I awoke at 4 am, as I usually do.
That gave me time to have my morning share of coffee.
I recently purchased a pound of German coffee and only brew a pot on special occasions.
Today was a special occasion.

At 8 am, Veterans Court was called to order.
One of my guys, John, was chosen to lead the opening with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Court went very well.
After Court, there was a Special Session for those who have met the requirements to Graduate.
John and 4 others Graduated!

I'll try to describe the following pics....

thumbnail

Judge Roberts congratulating John on Graduating.

Judge Roberts and all 5 Vets who Graduated today.
Each received a Certificate and a "Challenge Coin," stating their dedication to Country and perseverance to lead other Vets in Honor.

After the session, I hugged each Vet and said, "I'm Proud of you for your accomplishment and always hope that you will be there for other Vets."

I have another Vet that I mentor, who is, as Judge Roberts said today, "Is Devilishly close to Graduating!"

Hope all are Well!

That may be the best news of the day.
Certainly good news!

Good News indeed.

These men have faced challenges after their service to America,
and through their dedication and perseverance, they have overcome their shortcomings and proven that they are America's Heroes.
I am proud of each for their challenges that they have overcome.
For the last 3 years, after every session, whether they are my guys or not, I met with them to offer words of encouragement.
I feel that I am a help to their success.
And, I'll continue to talk with ALL Vets in Veterans Court...
Because I am possibly the one who can make a difference.....
Because, "No one is left behind. Hoorah!"

When one says, "No one left behind,"
Does one really understand the meaning?

Without saying what I can't,
A firefight. Rockets nearby....
"My bunker and Quadrant is `secure, Captain. Send rations and ammo....-"
Charlie Foxtrot....

whiskey Tango foxtrot....

Guess you might not have been there, Huh?

Fiends, the following post is graphic.

A woman has twins, and gives them up for adoption. One of them goes to a family in Egypt and is named "Amal." The other goes to a family in Spain; they name him "Juan". Years later, Juan sends a picture of himself to his mum. Upon receiving the picture, she tells her husband that she wishes she also had a picture of Amal. Her husband responds, "But they are twins. If you've seen Juan, you've seen Amal."

I don’t promote anything..... I picked up my wife at the airport last night and it seems like everybody has a cell phone and was looking for an electrical plug. I don’t know how this works in ambient light, but I have one. I’m in my truck and always around baseball. So I bought one of these for my phone. This solar set up works amazingly!!!!! I have another larger solar setup I think I paid $80.00 for But I highly recommend grabbing one of these!!!!

Harbor freight is now in Rockland here too. As you said it’s cheap tools, but some of them are pretty tough for what they are. I almost always buy quality tools, I don’t mind spending more though. We even have a five guys burger in Augusta now! Sadly it’s at least 20 miles each way for me!!!!!
I would love to sluice some more gold where you are again. I bought my sluice at Armadillo mining shop in Grants Pass back in probably 1995 it must have been

I love that store!!!!! It’s about 5 miles give or take from my home!!

PS Harbor Freight, and I have a Bass Pro less than a mile!!!!!!!
