CRISPINS CRITTERS

Last night, close to clocking out, I walked all the way back to the "Dry Dock,"
as I usually do, to bring jacks back to the area where they can be connected to the chargers that have not been returned by the day shift selectors. (Lazy people....sheesh!)

Thomas, who is the Manager of the dry dock, was still there.
He has sought me out before to repair a leaking toilet and I also just replaced a broken faucet in the bathroom for him a few days ago.

He showed me a door frame, metal, that had been hit by a jack and wanted to know if I could fix it.
I looked it over and said that it wasn't too bad. I also said that I'd have to tell Shannon about it for him to authorize me to fix it.

Well, earlier last night, Shannon called me, Tristan, Kipp and Bryan into his office for a meeting.
Seems that there is some big inspection coming up and Shannon said that he wants everyone to work 10 hour days for the next two weeks to get things in order. Mostly Building/Grounds and safety issues.
My "Wheelhouse!"

Of course, I was the first to say yes.
I also said that I'd work all day on Friday after Thanksgiving.

Thomas also showed me a damaged electrical connector for his ticket processor.
I assured him that I could fix it and that I'd make myself a note to take care of it first thing on Monday when I came in.
He looked at me with a look of gratitude and said, "I'm sure glad that Shannon hired you."

Folks,
Sometimes one has a job.
Sometimes one has a place to go work.
A place where they feel respected and appreciated.
I am fortunate enough to have both!

Time to check on them boiled peanuts I got simmering!

Y'all have a great weekend!

Best,

Scott

ADDED:

I was told by Kipp that I have been chosen, through a discussion between Shannon and Kipp, that I would be classified as a Material Handling Equipment Repair Specialist. I'm pretty sure that I'll be sent to attend classes in specialized repairs offered by the Crown Forklift Manufacturer.
I can only assume that this will equate to a pay increase!

Just called my Sister up in Kansas and had a pleasant conversation.

She is well and has bought a house.
Said that it is a "fixer upper" and wished that her baby Brother was there to help.

I felt bad for a moment that I wasn't there, but then smiled to myself knowing that she finally realized my abilities.

She works at the library in Concordia and recently received an evaluation that included a raise and she said that she was proud of me in my "adventures" in higher education.

I wish that I could visit her soon....

The Holidays are now upon us.
I hope that all will make plans to visit loved ones and share special times with Family and Friends this Holiday Season.

Wishing all Health and Happiness,

Scott

What a fine movie!

Now, let's talk reality.

Just messaged Tristan.

A young man with a bright future ahead.

I told him that I would be there as a Friend and a "Big Brother."
But, that I would still kick his ass if needed....
As a big brother.

I hope that he listens to my advice.....
I'm too old to kick some ass, but, y'all better not think that I can't.....
'Cause that's when you will get educated....Dig?

In all of the bar fights I've been in, I always walked away the winner.
Sometimes bloodied and bruised, but,
THE WINNER!

Excellent selection Bill!

That song is in my playlist.

Sent from a spun out toilet paper tube (one ply)!!!

I’ve been toying with finishing my master bath for way too long now...
Here’s a pic as of the other night. This area will be the shower, complete with granite walls, glass surround and built in shampoo niche.

And "hardy board" will be used?

I know tricks for ease of finishing...

I wish that I was there to help...
I love to tile!

Be sure that your electrical outlets are GFIC.
Code dictates that new construction requires a new circuit for lights and receptacles.
15 amp for 14 gauge wire. 20 amp for 12 gauge wire.
I know because I've had to run new wiring and install new breakers in a similar job before....
I used 12-3 for the "home run" and was lucky enough to find two spaces in the existing breaker box for two new breakers.
I prefer 12 gauge over 14 because it is more stout. Others prefer 14 gauge because it is easier to work with....

And,

I'm near 2 million in the poker games. Winning again!

But, it is just "play" money.

At this time....

How about an evening at the tables at a casino?
How about playing for real money?
How about that?

Trust me, I have no distractions...I'm all business, Dig?
I have no time for eye candy....
How about THAT!
You wanna play poker?
Let's play!
I'm about winning!
All pistols on the table, dig?
Let's have a "Friendly" game.
People who know me will say that I have been places....

I once chased a cheater through the hood.
.38 Wheel in hand, I followed him through the back door of an apartment where I saw several around a table packaging up dime bags of crack.
I chased him out of the apartment, and fired a couple of rounds before he disappeared in another apartment.
I later heard that I hit him but I never saw him again. One of a few times Scotty has fired....
No other stories will be mentioned. Period.
All for only about $100.
Yeah, say it. Scotty was once an idiot.
But armed and deadly....
Copper is cheap....

Now I'm armed and deadly and not an idiot.
Come get ya some!

A "Friendly" game. OK?

How about "Bingo?"

Hardi is the only way to go. All seems will be taped and thinseted, and redguard applied over hardi before granite tiles go up. Trimmed with schluter aged bronze.
Just put up the hardi, one of my sons friends helped me, he’s a awesome kid!
