CRISPINS CRITTERS

No politics, only facts..

I wonder why Libs hate me? :dontknow:
That's OK.

An intelligent discourse? Sure.

Let's get it on!

" L.A. is a great big freeway ,put a hundred down and buy a car."
"You a lucky little lady in the city of light."

What song is that, put a hundred down and buy a car?

Sent from a spun out toilet paper tube (one ply)!!!

OV,

Try to track down Ozzy Osborne providing he has enough working brain cells to sing the song....:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7:

OV,

I bet this Russian singer could pull it off....you wouldn't expect this humble looking guy could pull off a great version of my father's son from Joe Cocker's song book would you?....

RC, one tune at a time, please.

Dionne Warwick/Nancy Sinatra "Do You Know the Way to San Jose." for the first.

The Doors on the second.
But you haven't come up with an answer for mine yet;
"Twice the light in half the time."

Best,

Scott

Spent most of the day taking pictures of items for sale and posting on a local Facebook page.
A "Virtual Garage Sale," if you will.

I'm now getting many bites....

Hope all had a Great Weekend!

Best,

Scott

ADDED:
I don't know whether I want to go camping this weekend or hold a small yard sale. :icon_scratch:
The weather is supposed to be nice for either.

Oooops. A breach of etiquette trying to get too many L.A. references in before lights out.

To answer yours ..." Falling Down" from So What album ..Joe Walsh.

Computer not playing vids to put Falling Down in a post. And " Down on the farm" ,for an encore.

Folks,
Another version of my father's son by the tenors....very well done.

Awesome song Bill, it's hard for me to relate as I'm not on speaking terms with either of my parents, and haven't been for four years now...
I don't expect it to ever improve, however It is for the best though...

WE HAVE A WINNER!
10,000 internet points to you my Friend!

"Falling Down"

Making no deposit, no return
Making the same mistakes, we never learn
All of the pain in those faces
Trying not to show concern

Spent and broken
Like a worn out subway door in the city

Hanging in the closet, wait in line
When you go by the laws, you pay the fine
I'm burning the candle at both ends
Twice the light in half the time

Down to crawlin'
Feel like I'm falling
Oh & yes, the rain doesn't have to hurry in the city;
Falls sadly to the ground
Rain doesn't have to hurry in the city

Only way to fall is down

Falling down

But still you're running in a race that can't be won
Aiming hard to fill the spaces when they're gone
Worn out shoes with no laces
Getting too loose to stay on

Back to crawling
Feel like I'm falling
Oh & yes the rain takes its time to fall in the city
Falls sadly to the ground
Rain kinda of says it all in the city
Only way to fall is down

Falling down

Best,

Scott
(Ain't Google a wonderful thing?)

An "Encore?"

Best,

Scott

Added:

With all of the Joe Walsh concerts that I've attended, I'm sure that I've got a bootleg cassette around here somewhere.....

Best,

Scott

10,000 internet points to you, also.

Perhaps I should delve deeply into my album archives....

AH!
Try this....

"In your mind, you have capacity, you know.
To telepath messages through the vast unknown."

Remember!
NO GOOGLE!

Scott

"Straight On"

Quite some time, I been sittin' it out
Didn't take no chances
I was a pris'ner of doubt.
I knocked down the wailin' wall
Ain't no sin
Got the feel of fortune; deal me in

Comin' straight on for you. You made my mind.
Now I'm stronger. Now I'm comin' through
Straight on, straight on for you
Straight on for you.

Now I know I got to play my hand
What the winner don't know, a gambler understands
My heart keeps playin' it through
with you, my friend
I'll take my chances on you again and again

Comin' straight on for you. You made my mind
Now I'm stronger. Now I'm comin' through
Straight on, straight on for you
Straight on for you

Hint:
Reached #62 in 1977 on Billboards "Hot 100."

Another song/hint....

Back in 1870 just beneath the Great White Way
Alfred Beach worked secretly
Risking all to ride a dream
His wind-machine
His wind-machine

New York City and the morning sun
Were awoken by the strangest sound
Reportedly as far as Washington
The tremors shook the earth as Alfie
Blew underground
Blew underground
He blew underground, yeah

Ahh
All aboard Xxx Xxxx Xxxxxx
Had you wondered who's been digging under Broadway?
It's Alfred
It's Alfred
It's Alfred

A comment posted:
I bought these Xxxxxx albums when they came out. I remember the rumor about them being the Beatles in disguise. I could not make that leap myself. However there were no identifying band member names on the covers so it added to the mystery. Also they sounded a bit like the Sargeant Pepper album when they did Xxx Xxxx Xxxxxx. Remember that the Beatles broke up not too many years prior to this. People were heartsick over that and I am sure some were desperate enough to think that maybe they were performing together again. Losing the Beatles as a group was like losing part of your family. That is how I felt about it. Anyway this is my recollection of the late 70's myth as it happened in real time. Maybe it is still happening??

Hints will always be given.....

Best,

Scott

Ever heard the tune, "Anus of Uranus?"
