Sometimes when you are not cooking for only yourself but for others,
You must use ingredients that you personally do not like.

But still, you must know of the compatibility of the ingredient with the dish you are making.

And a secret is to never use too much---Best to use a bit less.

That way, when Folks talk of your creation, they will say,

"WOW! It had a flavor of something that I just can't place that made it the best I've EVER had!"

An Italian chef I know says most people say they hate anchovies....well guess what most of the higher end Italian restaurants mash up some anchovies to give their tomato sauce more depth and most people don't even know they're in there...lol.

I Love anchovies! I can eat them from the tin.

When I worked for Dominos pizza, they didn't offer anchovies.
Do they now? Dunno...

Call 'em up and request an anchovy pizza.

I always add anchovies to my oyster dressing at Thanksgiving....
Always rave reviews and comments...

But, as I failed to mention, such portions of ingredients must also be considered....
Especially if you like a particular ingredient.

Care must be taken to not get a "free thought" of your preferences but strive to please the 50-100 Parents who come to visit where their little "Muffie" is living. On "Parent's Day."
And you are responsible as the Chef, as Kitchen Manager of a Sorority!
(At 20 some years old....)

When I journey to the mountains, in unknown areas, I usually have a canteen slung over my shoulder, my compass in hand, crackers in one pocket and a tin of kipper snacks in another pocket.

Seeking REAL food, like ramen, I have never needed to eat the kipper snacks.

Don't get me wrong....

I love all of those tinned offerings.

Especially with a cold beer and hot sauce!
