Hey Dram I had my surgery by a military Ortho. I got a nerve block so I was awake. He was watching everything on a tv screen so I started asking " hey Doc what's that? Oh that looks bad, hey doc can I have a video of this ?" He says " hey anesthesiologist will you knock him out? " hahaha only me....

DON'T WATCH ANY VIDEOS!!!!!! A friend of mine (some friend!) emailed me a video of a knee replacement surgery right before I got mine done. Like a dumb azz I watched it. Aside from just about fainting or going into shock- which I have never done as I'm not faint of heart in the slightest. I was more amazed (more like appalled) at the tools and technique. I will say I have nicer tools in my shop and show a better sense of craftsmanship whilst building a compost bucket than what I saw on that video- brutal and medievil are the words that come to mind.
They used to give you video copies of the Scope surgery, kinda cool looks like a little metal aligator chomping away on some kind of pale meat.........................Sorry I couldn't resist but it really does!

After two weeks of storm after storm we woke up this morning to:



.....And now the work begins, we lost several 100' plus pines and cedars to the wind. Property looks like a tornado went thru it. Upside- won't be going far for firewood this year!

Hey fowledup up orto is so Medieval isn't it? When I asked for a video ( military of course) I was denied. Claimed HIPPA laws. But honestly the doctors don't want to be sued. I was a medic at the time just screwing with my doctor!! Haha but he was one of my favorite dr's of all time. He did a couple repairs on me. I came out better than when I went in. He was a little upset at me when I took my cast off 2 weeks early..... I guess my lying and trying to convince them his office did it wasn't funny..... Sorry can't keep a Stud Mustang Horse down too long you know..... We got to run! Dram I've been thinking about you. You have a touch of anxiety because of the unknown, and you too are a Stud Mustang that can't handle idle time. You'll be fine friend!!!

Thanks everyone! All the comments actually do help. And nope, I won't be watching any videos! Lol...sort of. I have my appointment for MRI, earliest available on Wednesday the 23rd at 7:15 am.
I can't believe it takes that long to get in.

On another note it was kinda of a rough Sunday. Found out my boat has a water saturated transom, at some point will need replacing most likely along with some stringers. Massive amount of work. Motor and drive must come out, and some of the floor. I will be replacing with the composite panels so I never have to worry about this again. And I noticed Truck had brake fluid running out from a bad wheel cylinder. I got a new cylinder today (only about $12.50 with tax) but I'm really in no condition to change it out. Going to nurse it through until the weekend, and recruit my son to help. He's only 11 but might as well start learning now! Lol
All in all nothing about a grand and many hours of work can't fix! Haha

Hey Jeff were you an inside kid? Haha. Man I made parachutes out of garbage bags jumped off the roof.....here's a good one, my best friend bet me I couldn't "surf" off the ice cream truck. He stopped it, I climbed on top of the ice cream truck, stood up, noticed we were approaching my house. Surfing at 25 mph I decided to jump my foot slip and I fell straight onto the road. I landed on my knee and rolled and rolled and screamed. I was bloody from head to toe. Scared the ice cream man near death. He carried me to my back yard where the family was having a BBQ. You could see my knee cap, I was only wearing shorts so I was pretty bloody. My mom screams runs over and grabs me takes me in the bathroom cleaning me off. She thought I was playing with the neighbors dog and he bit me. The ice cream truck driver is pleading his case " I never knew he was up there" my mom walks back into the bathroom and brought one up from Puerto Rico and slapped me across the face!!! Do you know what could have happened.... Blah blah. Damn woman I'm alive! I was into everything as a kid...... Don't double dog dare us. We did it! Hahaha oh we got free ice cream for 2 weeks! Yes and I still have the scars!
