my nephew had pneumonia ended up in the hospital after he caught some strange virus the doctors can't i.d.
he came home christmas eve and is on oxygen.
and is quarantined because they can't i.d. the virus.
last I heard 2 of his 3 Kids got sick, and so is his brothers family. no idea if it has to do with fog , he travels to hunt deer this time of the year. only contact i have is email and don't want to bug him right now.

I'm about half way through it, and they have discussed many situations
I've never even heard of. The folks in it aren't quacks, but retired Admiral's,
F-18 pilots, etc. who have a great deal of credibility.

i believe anything is possible, but if these drones are up to no good, why would they have their lights on??
Well probably several reasons...? In no particular order here's some. Most people ASSUME the drones are up to no good and maybe they are. Then some play into it by flying there own like I have. And then there's social media and AI making video's about them involving all kinds of of plots.

1. Store bought drones come with lights.
2. Folks flying their personal drones don't care if they have lights.
3. People flying them WANT THEM TO BE SEEN by others...!
4. If there alien controlled who said those are lights...? To us they "appear" to be lights...?
5. If there Government controlled drones they obviously don't care either if there seen.
6. Those flying them don't think anybody will / can bring them down. Laws "protect" them.
7. Private company(s) flying them can fall under most of the above.

It seems that anything the human race doesn't understand can or usually falls under the "up to no good" umbrella. And then others play into it. Think about how you'd feel if drones switched off their lights and were just GPS tracked on a laptop in real time by the controller. You wouldn't even know (nor care) until later if something "no good" happened. Seeing those lights just plays into the unknown and strange mind of the human being.

Well you would have thought so but if someone did in a residential area it's kind of hard to talk about I guess. And if someone did it would be hard to retrieve possibly also. And then there's those pesky laws that protect them also.

Bird shot would work but you better be close. Don't know if anybody needs "drone loads / slugs" as it won't take much to bring down a drone hovering. Hell my .22 would bring down my large drone easily. But if it's hovering / moving at 400 ft. it would be tough to do.
I was watching Ukraine combat videos and I saw a Russian soldier shoot down a drone with one shot from an AK-47. The video was taken by the drone before it was downed. The drone was buzzing a group of soldiers and paused for a second. He made a snap shot and nailed it.

That doesn't surprise me that one shot would do it nor should anyone be surprised. That's all it would take. There're very fragile overall or at least the ones I've seen are. A .17 or heavier could easily do the job.

I was thinking about something a bit more creative, and most definitely redneck(ish).

Take about fifty 1' x 1" PVC tubes and stack/mount them into a frame on an adjustable axis tripod, and then load them all with bottle rockets. Two-man operation...one man lighting the fuses, and another doing the aiming.

Need to go see if I've got enough 1" pvc...

That is always the limiting factor, not the supply of bottle rockets :)

D.D.: You sir have a brilliant mind. I can't believe somebody hasn't thought of this approach before now. You might want to consider patenting this new weapon and then approach the U.S. Defense Department. Some of the members here at Tnet might want to help with the patent expenses for a piece of the action. Anyway your plan of action should go down in history as a stroke of genius...! I see nothing redneck(ish) about it what so ever sir.

If you need some help I have around 200' of 1" PVC lying around here. And I have about 300-500 old bottle rockets you can have also. I 100% support your plan of action...! Maybe you could use some 3" x 1' PVC, wrap about 5-10 fuses together and drop down in. Maybe get the shotgun effect...??? :dontknow: Congrats.
