Glad to hear that - I would not want a seer hunting the LDM and finding it before I can!

Dave - amen to that. I wonder why these fellows that come on T-net proclaiming to the world that they have found the LDM never just contact the news media and make a public announcement? :dontknow:

If someone found the LDM, or something as good or better, would it be possible to get gold out of there on the sly? Asking for a friend :D
But seriously, I'm not asking how.
Anyway, if riches were the motivation, announcing your discovery to anyone would be off the table.
I think there would be a way to make a lot of money legally if one found the LDM.

yes..i think so..my guess is it has been done many times..the key would be silence..loose lips sink ships...but if you did get caught it would mean a federal prison and the loss of all your worldly possessions...your job..house..wife..etc...probably not worth the risk:icon_scratch:

I don’t think so, hard rock mining is messy, if the LDM is a mine
too many people in those mountains, you can’t take a leak in the bushes without someone seeing you
the book avenue is pretty much dead also, way too many books and too many crazy theories as well as, braggarts claiming they found it or are the only ones who can read the maps in 30 seconds. I don’t see any books on the ldm jumping off the shelves, even the classics like Sims Ely are selling dirt cheap.
It may be that the whole legend has run its coarse and few people are interested.

yes alan..i stand corrected...i was thinking treasure...you are correct on that...it would be very difficult to work a mine up there without drawing attention....

You are right about the treasure Dave...I know some former Army Rangers that would make short order of getting it out of those mountains, :icon_thumright:

The group that worked the "pit mine" got away with it.....didn't they ?
Despite their "loose lips", apparently....along with a couple of books.
Or so we've been told.

MOST of the folks on here claiming to have found the LDM also say they are not interested in the wealth, just the recognition/fame. Also described as the "historical" aspect. Personally I would be more interested in the precious metal than any fame or recognition as that evaporates almost instantly today, gold lasts as long as you don't spend it! It just seems odd to me that so many different people saying they found the LDM, instead of calling the news media to announce a news conference, go onto a treasure forum to tell a bunch of treasure hunters. ?? If you wanted the fame/recognition, wouldn't it make more sense to contact the local TV news outfit or newspaper? :dontknow:

that's easy roy...if they contacted the local media and claimed to have found the ldm without any proof they would be laughed out of the building...on here they can make any claim they want and get months of fame before people finally stop reading their posts

I have already had my 15 minutes of fame as a poet...lol...Fame is overrated Dave...As are riches...If I really wanted either of them...I'd probably publish several books of poetry...But who needs that garbage???I find knowledge as true riches...Maybe one day someone will contact me and ante up for the 8 digit payday to motivate me to put my life on the line to take them to the end of the rainbow at the end of some stone maps...

Only time will tell...

More than one involved in that story. And having a proxy post it all online don't seem brainy and gutsy to me.
Plenty of evidence of laws broken and potential witnesses. Even with suggestions of "inside" help, and a mess left behind by the perps. Yet no investigations or charges laid, with confiscations etc. ??

But then again, maybe that story was laughed out of the building as well......

could be...maybe another hoax:dontknow:

One way for certain I can think of to prove if story is true or not (not having to do with torturing those involved LOL). Won't go into it as its a not too well known story.

No need to go into it. The truth has a funny way of surfacing. But it is awesome.

Mark Zuckerberg says you can trust him.

A little off topic, but since you brought up Suckerberg:

For several years, DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Administration) tested a project called "LIFELOG".

LifeLog project, an ambitious effort to build a database tracking a person's entire existence.

For some unknown reason, DARPA killed the Lifelog Project on 04 February 2004 (remember this date because its important). Here is an article from Wired Magazine from 04 February 2004:

https://www.wired.com/2004/02/pentagon-kills-lifelog-project/

That by itself is not very noteworthy, but when you Google "FACEBOOK LAUNCH DATE" you get:

FBLaunch.JPG

Interesting, yes? A government run program designed to gather a database of information on a persons entire existence was killed on the same exact day Suckerberg publicly launched a program designed to do the exact same thing. HHHMMMMMMMMMMMM Intriguing! Maybe someone should ask where he got his seed money from!
