Common Mistake, or Rare one??

That sounded like a call for a volunteer to me Eagle...where are you at? I'll be out this weekend!

WOW!!, All the way from Nebraska?? I'm in Bakersfield, CA. Sure hope we find enough gold coins to make it worthwhile. :laughing9: :laughing9:

Well that is a bit out of range for a weekend trip...but hey, if I was retired I'd be packing my bags now! I wish you continued success (nailing a counterfeit like that is indeed success!)

Thank you my Friend!! That just cost me well over an hour searching for an identical match. :laughing7: :laughing7:

Just kidding, I've learned more in my searches than I ever imagined about old coins.

My apologies for linking the wrong coin :-[
different date, but otherwise similar. oops.

I thought you'd like to know, I was sitting in a restaurant with a couple of friends and showing them the coin, when a guy from the next table asked to see it. I handed it to him and he offered to buy it. I explained that it wasn't real, or even silver. He said he didn't care because he collected "oddities". (Whatever that means.) ;D

Anyway, he gave me $20 for it, while my friends witnessed the whole transaction.

Thanks for your input.
