Anytime you want to swap for a river view, just let me know...View attachment 2175508

Would it be OK with ya if I did some polishing on that 2nd pic? That is a gorgeous setting.
Actually this was a river till the 1820s.
Then they put a dam in just below my home.
Then it became a bay, and the founder of the hamlet renamed the river to a creek, with his name.
Here is the dam.
3rd week in March.

Beautiful pictures. How big is the lake? Do you do any serious boating or fishing?
The narrow bay (once a river)is 1.5 miles long.
It runs parallel to the main lake that is 4.5 miles long.
For boating, just kayaks, 12 ft aluminum, paddle boat.

wow that's very beautiful. The views out of my windows just look like sadness and depression
We had a shipping dock, and roof of a Home Depot view from the 17th floor condo for 16yrs in Toronto.
(Nothing like living in a little cement box that is in a big cement box)

So I kind of love our view now.

I grew up in So. Cal. Endless people and cities in every direction. When driving, the only way you knew you were in a different city was because of the signs telling you so. Hated that place, and as soon as I was old enough I'd head for the peace and quiet of the high desert at every opportunity.

Wife and I bought this place in '03, and the day we moved in I told her that we just added 20 years to my life.
