One more thing, how does the newscast know that anyone is digging? You think the FBI told them they were digging? I think folks are doing "math" on this one. I see no shovels, no dirty hands, gloves, shoes or pants. Unless someone has seen a shovel or equipment capable of digging, I'd rule out digging. In the video, I see a clip board with papers, yep, that's a sure sign of an investigation. I can't make out what the tripod thing is though....thoughts?

I was at the scene yesterday,..and yes i seen digging equipment (shovels) and ppl with boots on... there is no other reason for them to be there... trust me... its in the middle of nowhere... there was no heavy equipment that i seen, butt its a site surely they dont want to destroy anything as they dig down... and as for not seeing anything.... the dig is located up on the hill side where you cant see from the road..

I also heard it was hidden in a cave or crevis in the rocks....
Which would make sense because these mountains are very rocky and digging a deep hole by hand would be next to impossible

Did anyone catch the part, that I put in bold italics above ? "Legend has it that ........". Whenever you read a story that start with "It has been said that..." or "Legend has it that ....", ask yourself : "Says who" ? Wouldn't it be more worthwhile to go after factual historical facts, and not "legend" (telephone game) says ?

So too were all the stories in the treasure magazines of the 1970s. They would start with how so & so was walking down the road one day, and talked to a rancher back in the 1950s, who spun the story about how his great great grandfather saw men walking down the hill with "gold nuggets at big as boulders", blah blah (now it's simply a matter of finding the mine). Or "Legend has it that...." And concoct the doozie from there, peppering it with faded newspaper clippings, a drawing of a miner posed next to his burro, etc.... Then ... presto ..... you can never put the rumor to death.

It’s now 2018 and the FBI is saying that they are carrying out a court ordered investigation.
There should be some public records which shed some light to this mystery.

I can not think of any treasure-hunting that ANY govt. official (LEO's anyhow) engages in. I mean, think about it folks: That's tax-payer money being spent. If the legislators, and bean-counters and general public thought the government was spending $$ on risky treasure hunts (in times of budget cuts and tax increases), there would be an outcry of protest.

This was the exact mindset during the Mel Fisher legal hassles: Some govt. archies cried that this should have been left for the archies to have investigated and dug up (with tweezers and brushes, yeah right). But the Fisher legal defense team rightfully pointed out, that never in a million years is the govt. going to engage on risky treasure hunts at tax-payer expense. Oh sure, the private sector will knock themselves out and risk the loss of finding zilch. But not the govt.

About the only "tax-payer money" personnel would be archies. NOT the "FBI" for pete's sake .

Hence someone might say "yeah, well ... this is true for mere speculations, but NOT when a treasure is already found. Ok, I'll bite. But if it's .... "already found" (thus requiring FBI men in trenchoats who shoot down drones), then .... why the tent and salacious details ? If it's "already found" (and up such that someone could simply look at it), then why more digging ? To which someone could say "To get the rest" (more in the hole?), then trust me: The archies (on the exact same govt. payrolls) would be having a hissy fit if it wasn't dug out with tweezers and studied. To which someone's going to say: "yup, there are archies in that tent with them".

See how this is beginning to sound ? No matter how many logical objections someone could raise, someone else can find some remote and far-fetched way that ...... given enough pounds of gold, and given enough conspiratorial scenarios, that it all makes sense. Just like Oak Island: Given enough canaries carrying enough coconut fibers from India in their beaks, and given enough slave labor for 50 yrs, then anything, now matter how remote and unlikely, can be made to sound bullet-proof iron-clad.

Why ? Why financially prohibitive ? After all, he's "found" (past tense) a treasure. All he'd have to do is sell a single pound out of the 50 gold bars he's found. To simply pay off whatever the bond cost. Certainly some investor is going to leap to the financial aid of Mr. Parada. Knowing that the certainty of this treasure is beyond question ??

Does anyone see the self-suicide contradiction of this ? "Veracity" = truth and certainty (via a quick check of the dictionary). Yet .... "legend" = unauthenticated story. Ok, which is it ?? You've either found it, or you haven't. You can't have it both ways. It's either fact, or it's legend. You can't have it both ways.

haha, I love it. Well I got news for you: You can run GPR over a LOT of places and ... guess what ? Something will be there. You can turn on a 2-box detector or metal detector in a lot of places and guess what ? You'll get a "beep". And as for having "found CW relics there", well ... I got news for you: A quick look down the pages of T'net's Today's finds show & tell forum will show that CW relics are routinely found all over the deep south.

And then the crowning glory: He was told his trinkets were only WW1 period. But I know the comeback lines forthcoming : This is probably a hush-job, by G-man, who don't want anyone else to know about the treasure. Just like "weather balloon" was the decoy explanation for the aliens at Area 51. Eh ?
