Christmas eve...VERY cold...VERY wet...LAST hunt of '09...1833 CAPPED BUST DIME

I have been extremely busy and the holidays were hectic. I hope you all had a great Christmas/New years week...and 2010 is a good one for us all.

I really put the Sunray X-12 coil through the paces the last week of December...and as was the case with the X-5 coil post a few days ago...I can't say a whole lot at this time.

I just wanted to show the find that made hunting on Christmas eve in heavy rain and 33 degree temps...very much worthwhile.

I have only found 3 bust dimes in my 35 years of hunting...and 2 of them have come from this particular site.

I think the coin looked nicer UNTIL I TOOK A FRIEND'S ADVICE 8) and soaked it in soapy water.

Looks like it had a little detail until I did so. I should have just rinsed it in warm water...but oh well. Thanks a bunch friend. No more advice from you.

Looks like you got a early xmas present...

I haven't found any Caps yet...I'm jealous!!!!

I'm so jonesin to get out, but we've been frozen in here in PA. since 3 weeks before Christmas.
I think my last hunt was Dec 4th. I found 2 V-nickles, and an 1859 Injun, then it came to a screaching halt!
Anyway, I hope you have a Happy New Year Bryce, with lotsa good finds again!

I haven't been on here much lately. We're under a foot and a half of snow, so my enthusiasm is kind of low. But the first time I checked back, your capped bust find was one of the first things I saw. What a great find! She's a beauty. I wish you a very happy new year.
