Detector(s) used
Minelab E-Trac and Whites MXT
Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
After each of my detecting outings I throw my clad into a plastic bin that I have on my work bench. It's been about 19 months, but it finally filled up and it is time to take it to the bank. Fortunately, the credit union I am a member of has a coin counting machine that we can use for free. (Basically it's a Coinstar with no fees).

I was looking at the pile of clad and trying to guess how much it would total. That's when I thought that it would be kind of fun and interesting to see how close someone could come to guessing how much is there.

So, here is a contest. Take a look at the pictures below of the pile of clad. Come up with your best guess as to how much it will total, and respond to this thread with your answer. Please, only one guess per person. I will take all guesses that are given before Tuesday, 10-07-14 at 11:59 pm, PST. Whoever comes closest to the actual total amount will get a little prize. I'll send the winner a few older coins, including a 1914s Barber dime, a 1901 Liberty head "V" nickel, and an 1898 Indian head penny. Nothing of significant value, but this is just for fun anyway.

I know in the pile there are a few dollar coins. Otherwise it's quarters, dimes, nickels and pennies including zincs.

And here is what I'll send the winner.

Hi, I am a new member here, and figured this contest would be a fun first post! I'm from eastern TN and swing an F2 and F5.

My guess on the clad is $162.84

Best of luck to everyone in the contest and in the dirt!

Welcome!

Thanks for going to the trouble of doing this. My guess is $214.51

There are just about 12 more hours to get your guess in, if you haven't already. If you are one of those who wait until the last minute to do something, remember that the last minute to post your guess is 11:59 pm, Pacific time.

I will get the answer posted as soon after midnight as I can.

$127.30

You should come to Aus, our clad is usually full of $1 & $2 dollar coins.

It adds up fast, you would have a couple of k there if that was over here.
