I would say that the Gibson Fender pay the pros to use there instruments... Like sports players wear nike or what ever they get big bucks to use those products..........I have another point that i am around cars now i am at Lexus and Audi & Caddy ........ And Dodge & Hyundia.....And none of these so called luxury cars are any better than the Dodge Hyundia ford chevy.... They have the same problems... And a lot of the so called luxury car parts go bad before the poor mans americian car.... it's all EGO............ Same with detectors ..Watches.. ect. ect... You have a big ego or want bragging rights you buy the one That cost the most.....Then say look what i have..
More like look what I'm finding...

You are getting a lot of information from detector snobbs here........ That think the more you pay the better it is not so.........
I'm glad you feel that way... I'd hate for you to actually learn and use "that machine" (we all know to which you refer) and have to eat crow... I don't know what soiled you postoasties, but taking pot shots at the higher end detectors when you haven't experience(more than a few months) with it isn't hitting the mark. I have compared head to head with your almighty detector and "that machine" and there isn't no room for you to bark. Yes it is a very good machine for the price. Yes its waterproof, ok. I love using my own head phones. Point is everyone has his own tastes but to constantly complain about a machine you don't have is kind of senile. I have found gold with my machine and I have only had mine since feb. I just made $253 worth in silver and $215 in junk gold rings. And I never got in the water to do it. I'll shut up now just tired of hearing the same ole same ole in every post.
Btw WESTERNTREASURE the Omega 8000 is a good choice, met a guy who has one and he loves it. Extremely light. Wish mine was. :D GH

THanks for the input guys. I think the bottom line is just to learn your detectors capabilities as best you can, and work with what youve got. THere are a lot of great machines out there and different things work better for different people. :icon_thumright:

Exactly right westerntreasurehunter.

In the end, experience CAN make up where a detector may be lacking in ability. The Omega 8000 could see every deep coin my E-Trac easily found, with the exception of a few, the difference was I was new to the E-Trac and new to recover those deep signals, whereas with the Omega 8000 I never would have thought they were coins. I never would have recovered them had the E-Trac not told me to do so.
