All I can say is why in the hell is she still in her position? In any private industry, she'd be out on her can in an instant after flubbing something this badly ... plain old stupidity is why. Well, either that or cronyism.

Did you see this dog and pony show? When she was READING her apology she seemed,, unmoved? Uh huh, she is worried' lolol.

Dave44:

You wrote "If the insurance companies change a single thing about a "grandfathered" policy it has to go away."

Nope.

Good luck to all,

I don't get the dig at Unions. I guess you're not into weekends off, either. Would you have liked working at the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory?

Policys are going away because the way the law is written if policy does not meet the nightmarecare criteria they can't sell them.......

The rest is just the Dem trying to get around the 3 years of lying about being able to keep your doctor, being able to keep your current policy if your happy with it.

Existing coverage is thrown out if your insurance changes deductible a dollar,, It use to be that if I didn't want to get pregnant I didn't have to have that rider, Guess I will be protected now! lololo
And My non existent kids can at least get pediatric care.
A list of minimum requirements, If you didn't have maternity care, and the insurance company now had to offer it,, That policy is gone!

All private health insurance plans offered in the Marketplace will offer the same set of essential health benefits. These are services all plans must cover.
The essential health benefits include at least the following items and services:

  • Ambulatory patient services (outpatient care you get without being admitted to a hospital)
  • Emergency services
  • Hospitalization (such as surgery)
  • Maternity and newborn care (care before and after your baby is born)
  • Mental health and substance use disorder services, including behavioral health treatment (this includes counseling and psychotherapy)
  • Prescription drugs
  • Rehabilitative and habilitative services and devices (services and devices to help people with injuries, disabilities, or chronic conditions gain or recover mental and physical skills)
  • Laboratory services
  • Preventive and wellness services and chronic disease management
  • Pediatric services
Essential health benefits are minimum requirements for all plans in the Marketplace. Plans may offer additional coverage. You will see exactly what each plan offers when you compare them side-by-side in the Marketplace.

Ben, Booky? Haven't seen you telling us why the BO didn't mean what he said yet? Researching?

Finding a site that says he wasn't lying might be hard to do. Be patient with them.

On the other hand maybe they're H-I-D-I-N-G ?

Hiding is probably right,, I know Booky likes trying to beat a dead horse.. I want to see his proof.

Chad:

I'll do my best to get over it.

Actually, you flatter yourself - since you failed to back up your roster of "Firsts" I stopped paying attention to most of your posts.

Good luck to all,

Dave44:

You seem to have trouble sticking with one topic.

Regarding insurance companies changing existing policies, here are the rules:

http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/CFR-2012-title26-vol17/pdf/CFR-2012-title26-vol17-sec54-9815-1251T.pdf

As for minimum standards for health insurance policies, it certainly isn't a new idea that products sold should be what they say they are.

As for Mr. Obama's statement(s) - why don't you ask him? I didn't post anything about that - why would I bother to answer your barking demands?

Good luck to all,

~The Old Bookaroo

insult with impunity...then more insults when people ignore the idiocy.
facts disturb the diatribe from the rightwingnuts.

Fancy that! You two children do it all the time, but you refuse to look at anything if it doesn't take you to the United States Socialist Party website.
