The so-called "conservatives" have decided the Heritage Foundation/Bob Dole/(r)Money national health insurance plan is a bad idea because a Democratic President is trying to make it work. The Heritage Foundation told us - what, ten years ago? Twenty? - that we needed to shake the freeloaders out of the system and have everyone purchase insurance.
During the eight years of the Bush Administrations, Congress passed a law that poor Terri Schiavo was still alive. Beyond that, not much got accomplished.
You couldn't find an answer to the junk insurance situation, so you're trying to dodge, duck and deflect.
Good luck to all,
~The Old Bookaroo
Heritage foundation decided that plan was flawed and backed away from it,, Something about individual freedoms.
Deflection from "junk Insurance Policy" I will post again for you, so that you can keep deflecting to some other vapor trail. Why would YOU be the arbiter of what is good for ME?
“That means that no matter how we reform health care, we will keep this promise to the American people: If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor, period. If you like your health-care plan, you’ll be able to keep your health-care plan, period. No one will take it away, no matter what.”
– President Obama, speech to the American Medical Association, June 15, 2009 (as the health-care law was being written.)
“And if you like your insurance plan, you will keep it. No one will be able to take that away from you. It hasn’t happened yet. It won’t happen in the future.”
– Obama, remarks in Portland, April 1, 2010, after the health-care law was signed into law.
“FACT: Nothing in #Obamacare forces people out of their health plans. No change is required unless insurance companies change existing plans.”
– tweet by Obama aide Valerie Jarrett, Oct. 28, 2013, after NBC News airs a report that the Obama administration knew “millions” could not keep their health insurance.
