Well this week has been my worst on record. Out of eight boxes I was only able to pull one 40% :( Things are pretty rough but the only way to break through the skunks is to keep going!

There is no dislike button here for me to express my feelings. Hopefully this week will be better. :occasion14:

Brutal skunk streak. Just keep going and bust through.

Well, after a 15 box stretch and only pulling one 40%, from my last box of the night I was able to pull five 40% and a '54 Bender. It was sure nice to see a little silver in the box!

Nice bender! Looks like you hit a pocket that could turn into a vein. Good luck!

Well, had an interesting day today. I decided to take a day off of work to do a little road trip to hit up some banks. Here are the totals:

I hit up +/- 40 branches. I picked up $270 MWR, $720 CWR, $140 in $20 shotgun rolls, and $80.50 loose.

I was able to pick one 90% and one 40% out of the loose. Skunked on the MWR. Pulled nine 40% out of the CWR, seven of which were in one roll. About $380-$400 were obviously someone else's dump. Traveled 100+ miles.

But the kicker: On the way to the last bank of the day, I was involved in a fender-bender, for which I will likely be at fault. So between the found silver, gas expense, and car repairs, it looks like I'll be -$1960 for the day. :BangHead::BangHead::BangHead:

Sorry to hear about the fender bender, but besides that, nice day. glad nobody was injured.

Yeah...that's the bad kind of bender. Hang in there...life happens.

I hit the like button. I like the fistful of silver in your hand, but I don't like the fender bender. Bummer.

Bad kind of bender indeed. Unfortunately this week's boxes didn't do much to lift my spirits about the whole thing. Got skunked out on all 8 boxes on the week :( Really hoping things pick up soon.

Brutal skunk streak. One thing about skunk streaks is they never last forever. I've been pretty fortunate in avoiding nasty skunk streaks. I get four boxes a week and have yet to be skunked on all four. But I'm only averaging about one silver per box.

I was doing well when I picked it up last year, doing about eight a week. I didn't have a skunk streak longer than four over the six months I hunted last year... It just seems like this year has changed at the flip of a switch on the new year. Skunked 71% of boxes this year so far, pretty rough. I wish I would have kept as detailed stats as I am this year to compare streaks, skunk percentage, etc.

We did break the skunk streak after 9 straight this week pulling a NIFC silver, a 1976 Bicentennial business strike silver. At least it was an interesting 40%er!

Glad to see your skunk streak end on the boxes! If I can't end mine I'm glad some is able to end theirs!

It's always nice to be back in the silver even if it's a lone 40% and an interesting one as well (I only have one).

I've been reviewing the other's here to see how they are fairing, 'cause I know for me it's been a rough year. Most of us are having an unusually tough hunting time of it in 2015. Kinda makes me wonder what is going on.

The bicentennial 40%er is a nice find. I've never found one.

That would be the third silver Bicentennial I've found in the past year or so. It's been a rough year so far for sure, the finds have been pretty dismal. This week is looking a little better so far though. Between my boxes and Mastermind's, it looks like we just may be returning to the mix we were getting last year. Hopefully! I'll post my weekly total in a few days...
