Aquasound (Aquapulse?)

The newer version has a 10 turn ground balance and better control settings. Mine is about 3 or 4 years old and has them. Prior models do not.

FINALLY!!!! something useful in this thread

Watching that Youtube video of that guy in Australia using one makes me suspect... C'mon, jewelry piece after jewelry piece and not even one pulltab? And each one in the first scoop?
Either that machine only finds gold/silver, the guy really knows the tones perfectly, or something is a bit fishy... Cant figure out which.. Wish I could dig more jewelry than junk.. LOL..

No need to be suspect. Of course I dig junk but I don't film it and post it.
Actually I run the camera on all targets and then decide later which ones to upload.
Not trying to deceive anyone.....in fact at the end of one of my videos I state that viewers don't see all of the junk I dig and believe me i dig plenty....no iron though. The video appears as one complete section but I am editing out junk targets and "scoop misses" on targets....trying to save space on the SD card as the video is in 720P (HD) and I'm often hunting for up to 8 hours.
Hope you guys had a great summer...just starting to warm up down here and golden days ahead.

HH,
Tony.

Been using an AquaSound for around 5 yrs. by far the best machine I've had. The coil cuts through the water like a hot knife through butter, and you only get 2 tones....Good or Bad so you don't dig bottle caps. I previously used a Excal and didn't have any problem adusting to the AquaSound. It's not a turn on and go machine. Needs to be tuned periodically, which only takes me a minute or two

Just to put in my 2 cents worth, Ken and I both own Aquasounds. They do go very deep and you will not pick up iron or bottle caps, they give a bong sound. When I go to the East Coast that is my preference. Miami area is full of bottle caps and you will instantly know if it is one. Cans have a large signal where other items give a short sound. The detector does have limitations, black sand is one . The water coil is too heavy for the wet sand but glides smothly in the water. The detector comes with an optional coil for the wet sand and dry sand use. Ken and I both really like the detector. Ken uses his almost 100% of the time. If I use an Excal , Ken can be next to me with no interference on either machine. The cost is around $2700.00 but I am not absolutely sure of this.
Hope this answers some questions.

Oh darn, I was hoping Overkill Overkill made a new post.:laughing7:

Same rules apply to all detectors,
The deeper the target = the more you will dig = the more time consumed on one target.
Take your pick it is a matter of personal preference.

+Bookmark - most information I've been able to find on the elusive machine after seeing a cameo appearance by Les in a you tube video. Apparently he just happened to be hunting the same surf.
