I got permission to a 1920's farm house a few days ago. The owner said their nephew had detected it in the past I stopped by there today for a few hours. They were right, someone didn't leave me much. I dug about $1.00 in modern clad. The only keeps I dug were a 1944 P silver war nickel and a piece of antique bling.

Any ideas on the age or what this jewelry piece is???

I was able to get a picture of the Tenn Trio passing through my area too. :tongue3:

Thanks for looking,
MM

D, I believe you're right about it being the Tenn.Trio; I recognize Q's orange Relic Rag and 'the' green golf shirt. :laughing7:

ROFL!!!! That's those clowns for sure!!! Hilarious Breezie. :laughing7: Those darn fools. I mean FOULS.

Your bling's the thing! Very nice! :hello2: This ole girlie would love to pull that out of the ground! :laughing7: Andi

It will look down right purdy with my other jewelry relics.

Glad to see your still digging.
Breezy, I beleive it was a red dress he was wearing during our last dig.

While I wouldn't discount a deco period for this piece (especially when Breezie lends her expertise to this ) I will say that this kind of filigree
workmanship is typical of Spanish , Moroccan , and Russian metalwork , This has a strong "gypsy" feel to it - think "Arabesque deco ",
and "belly dancer" jewelry . I'm leaning toward Morocco - It would also likely be a lesser grade of silver than sterling - perhaps 800
The multiple connection rings on either end of the piece are also typical of Moroccan/ North African jewelry , as are the multiple units of
four rings with the center bead (quatrefoil ) Extremely interesting find - and I think a long way from where it was crafted .

Argentium,
Thanks for that info. There are some very knowledgeable folks on this site, and you are one of them.
Thank you,
Doug

LOL.
Bill, you told me red was your favorite color. :tongue3:
Good to hear from you. Have you been detecting any? Do you and Bob still detect together?

You are most welcome Doug ! I am learning so much every day on this site too - I admit I am only offering my best guess/hunch as
to what your piece is about , I love silver and have a long standing relationship with it - but many here have more expertise than I do !
