Nice clue! That should nail it down precisely. Back at post #12 we could deduce that it has to be between 38,217-38,975... but given time your clue makes it clear!

OK, I've run the numbers, and based on the clues it has to be either 38,580 or 38,815. I'm going to put my revised guess at 38,815 if I'm allowed, but I'd earlier deleted a guess so I accept if this doesn't count. However, for those about to guess: take my word for it these are the only two numbers that work! You can thank me later. :)

38217 - 0
38247 - 1 guess
38480 - 0
38510 - 1 guess
38595- 2 guesses
38625- 3 guesses
38651- 1 guess
38681 - 3 guesses
And that is how many guesses each one has so far....

I will guess * 38480* since no one else has guessed that number yet!
What are you going to do MM if you have a tie?

well by using the two hints given ---- the #12 post -- that said --one of the earlier 11 guess's was off by 15 --and the later range hint of between -- 38,180 to 38,700 -- which knocked out all but 4 of the 11 earler guesses * from post #12 --- using those 4 numbers and goiing 15 + / 15 - you get 8 "possible" numbers that it could be--- since 38,681 was taken already -- I took 38,651. :wink:
think he said he'll go by the guesses posted time * first posted time --- first place , second time second and so on . Ivan
