It's been a wonderful day, now time to put my aching tootsies up and enjoy a nice glass of wine.

Salud y amor y tiempo para disfrutarlo!

If not for all of the things that want to drive you away or kill you, the desert [emoji266] would be a beautiful place to go. ...

Awesome photos!!

I hope your foot heals quickly.

Good work DTTH!
Keep her alive and kicking !

Thank you Mikel, it truly does have a beauty all its own. So different from the Ozarks, where you and I come from. It can be a desolate and dangerous place but there is something about it that speaks to my soul. I've always been at home in the mountains, the high places. Yet here it almost feels like Heaven just reaches down from the heights and sits softly on your shoulder. And at night, oh my gosh, you've never seen so many stars. Be careful, it's addicting, lol. Next thing you know I'll be writing poetry. :tongue3: :laughing7:

Foot is good, Dog is a brilliant surgeon. He just yanked it out and said "Ehh, you're good to go", then turned around and stepped in a prairie patty. :laughing7: We both got initiated. :icon_thumright:

Actually, Dit. I was born and spent my early years just east of where you are.

In a small town named Crane, Texas. It is just a little bit south of Odessa.

Right next to the southeast corner of New Mexico.

I remember having no boundaries, as long as I never cross a paved road.

That is a lot of freedom for a six year old!!

It is a little piece of heaven. Sometimes I dream about the silence there, only to hear that da~~Ed ringing in my head.
That will follow me to my grave.

Still, it has it’s own beauty.

More pictures!!!

Iam not sure if she is ready for the Goat Training yet. Climbing up there is real Tough, staying up there and moving around is even harder. But there are some great things to find up there. But you have to get your Goat on.download.jpg682019 136.JPG682019 137.JPG

That looks more like spider training. I would need at least four more legs to try that.

Templar knights were a special breed.
I doubt that I could hold my own with them, even on flat land....

When you get to the top, take a picture of how far Dit is behind you!

The big cats love Goat meat, and there are a lot of big Cats up there that hunt them. Just one more thing to watch out for. I hope i stay off the Menu.

How do ya know that it really is goat meat?

I’m getting to the point that I don’t trust what is on the label.
Like “Buffalo wings”... to me, they just taste like chicken!?!

Thorns that can penetrate your boots. That's a new one for me. I'm glad I don't have them here. What the temperature out there this time of year?

It was a first for me too, Bob. Those dang things are vicious and grow everywhere here, some are an inch and a half to two inches long. I didn't realize that when a branch of them died and fell on the ground they turn hard as a rock and will go right through your boot. I bet you could sew leather with those suckers.

Temps are in the mid to upper 90's now, made it to 100 Sunday. We have to get out at dawn and can only hunt for about 4 hours before we have to call it a day due to the heat. It's not the ideal time of year for this, but we're making it work so far. Just have to wear protective clothing, keep our heads covered and stay hydrated.

Lol, as long as the goats don't start saying I taste like chicken I'll be happy. :tongue3:

Lol I had an interruption when I was formulating that post and when I returned I saw it was not correct.

Cool. What do you find interesting about it, if you don't mind my asking?
