Affordable Boat Act

Still not seeing any relevance to the 2nd Amendment in this thread. Is this now the boat thread? Why even call it the Second Amendment Thread if it is going to be a free-for-all when it comes to posting drivel like this?

jb, did your humor fall down and hit it's head? :laughing7:
How could anyone, ever insult you, someone that is vital to this whole process?

Lighten up, friend. We may be making funs at your (or someones) expense. :laughing7:
But I'd be more than happy to beat up any bully's being mean or belittling you!

Its a joke to the folks who dont like Obamacare. Its funny to folks who hate Obama.

Forgive me if you dont see me laughing...

You do know it's a sad day, when the cat, has to pull it together for ya'll! :laughing7:

If they can make us buy insurance or boats, they can also require we trade our guns for cotton candy.
Because guns and insurance are, such a BIG part of the problem, SO BIG in fact,

that ppl fail to see it ain't about guns, it's about the PEOPLE that handle them.
And, it ain't about insurance, it's about people being denied care, because some have abused the system.

Dang, don't make me go all serious on ya'll's butts!(see, when you're southern, you can put 2 apostophes in one word)! :laughing7:
Now, who wants to go fishing? :hello:

He bean-boy, if you don't like it, GO AWAY!

This thread will be cited by me next time anyone tries to call me a bully or tell me that I am hurling insults. Thanks for the material.

You're quite welcome, just remember to include YOUR bullying comments when you do. You know, we don't want YOU to feel forgotten, so if you forget I'll try to equal things out.

Come on Ben, laugh a little. It's good for the heart.

Besides not being very nice, it's not very effective, in having ppl that don't always see things your way, or pets your fur the wrong way, to just go away.

jb has every right to be here, as do I or you. I guess the one's that should "go away", would be those that just can't function under adversities or disagreements........

which will probably be me soon, cause I do get bored real quickly with small minds, and ppl that fail to see humor and/or the better, even outta the worst situations on life.

Hey, ya'll have a ball, though........ doesn't everyone just iove a good "picking the bones" session? :laughing7:

"...it ain't about insurance, it's about people being denied care, because some have abused the system."

Please be so kind to explain. How did alleged abuse lead to people being denied care?

I suggest the problem is far, far more complex than that.

Good luck to all,

It is way more complex, than just that narrow statement, ob.

The whole thing seems to be a major deception, but that may be a whole nother thread.

How will ppl who, cannot/do not pay their medical bills, going to pay for higher premiums, bigger deductible/out of pocket, and then still pay the doctors or healthcare facility?
Everyone has griped through this whole roll out thing, about what they are going to have to pay.......
The ones that do pay their med bills, they pay them. The ones that don't pay their med bills, don't pay them. I don't see this bill insuring, the medical providers get paid. Sebelius was the Insurance commissioner of Kansas, for dog's sake, you mean to tell me, she gouldn't tell Obama how to spin this, TRUTHFULLY to the public? While he may be no insurance expert, SHE sure is!

I have yet, heard one argument, as to how do the doctors and providers feel about this bill? If the enrollment website don't work, do you think the provider billing software is going to be better? What is normally, a bi-weekly or monthly turn-a-round of claims and money, turns in to "wait 90 days for claims processing" by inept workers, on a system that fails and crashes....... I don't know what could become. If there are any providers here, it would be interesting to know, if you have been informed as to, HOW will you bill your claims?(that's just another small issue, Obama, sebelius and them keeping everyone on the dark about too, or, are they just gonna wait till we get to needing to process claims, to make the software and see if it works?)

No one wants to pay higher premiums and deductibles, do you really believe, this will make ppl get healthcare and pay for it?

The rollout for enrollment is a disaster, a 600 million dollar disaster! Medicare already has billions, they have paid out in fraud(so much for a government run system). IRS is paying out millions in fraudulent claims, and they don't even seem to care, about collecting from those that owe legitimate taxes. I don't trust their system with my most pertinent info, and their past performance on some programs, and the blind eye they turn, or is it just their ineptness at truly looking at the problem, and effectively deal with it, that causes me to feel this way?

You don't keep throwing good money after bad. I believe when all this pans and washes out, we will see many millions of dollars, that have disappeared, been misappropriated, and just blatantly wasted! You can't make ppl care about their health and take a pro active roll in the process, that don't care about their health(until they get sick).

Just look at your news headlines, and "what's trending", to see what ppl in this country worry about.......

sorry bout long rant, it is a very complex issue, and I just don't have all the answers. I do think saying the insurance companies are responsible for ppl not paying their medical bills, is like saying guns are responsible for ppl killing ppl.
Somewhere, there is a disconnect.......

Matt, it is a parody of lucifercare which is socialism being forced on the American people by the government.

Our 2ND AMENDMENT was written to give the American people the ability to resist a tyrannical government, anything that fits under tyranny would fit in 2nd amendment forum.

Thread was started in humor, it was not meant as a serious thread, it is funny.....

If you don't like the humor turn the station (switch to another one of our hundreds of forums) ...

(Mods decide what fits in a forum.)

We will NOT go quitely into the night!

Thank you for a thoughtful, friendly reply!

Let's just take one thing you mentioned. The Federal insurance exchange is not a provider of health insurance. It is a marketplace for private insurance companies to offer their products to consumers. It doesn't have anything to do with billing.

Fourteen states set up their own insurance exchanges. We used the one here in California and it works just fine. I've ready Kentucky's is rolling along, as well. Thirty-six states didn't do anything (for a variety of reasons). This is the website that is experiencing serious problems. That's an extraordinarily complex thing to create.

We do have the "universal" health care experience of Vermont and Massachusetts. These problems appear to be working well with a high rate of consumer satisfaction.

Bottom line - this can be done. But it does require people trying to make it work instead of doing everything they can to gum up the works. And then complain it isn't functioning.

Good luck to all,

I have the same thing to say to people who don't like the laws or taxation levels we have in the US...

I liked it better the first time around when we kicked the Brittish butts out for overtaxing the people.

Apparently the founding fathers did as well. And, they set up a system of laws to govern us here in these United States.

The current administration, conversely, doesn't want to "provide for the common defense."

They already tax us beyond the point of old King George's level, and yet say it isn't enough yet.

Why are we supposed to be happy about that?

Please tell me.

Disgusting satirical piece. Posted in bad taste!
How can you compare boats (a luxury) to people's natural god-given right to be healthy?
Unbelievable.

Ben, it's s a t i r e...intended to be both funny, and possibly
even lightly offensive towards the [insert person or organization here] that
happens to be the subject.

Not making this religious at all, but I know the Bible, and there's not a word
in it about health insurance. Health care has only become a "God given right"
because a group of people have deemed it to be that way, and for no
other reason.

Not presuming to know ADS's thoughts, but I do see it as a reminder that
we're all wound up pretty tight over the healthcare issue, and it never
hurts to sit back and take a "chill pill" so things can get back into normal
perspective again.

(FWIW, I also thought it was funnieranhell, and am sorry you failed
to see the humor.)

Thanks for the material.

I think the material of which you speak is (what our government is handing us)… is a bunch of crap… with enough crap you can mold it, bake it in the sun and harden it. Then eventually you can build a boat with it.

Now, if you don't mind riding around in a crappy government boat, which by the way is not the same boat the people who run the government are riding in, then YES! It's great crap!

And my boat would be a boat with a .50 cal gun mount on the bow. (thereby meeting the requirements of this thread)

onfire....he didn't say food stamps were good in 47 "countries", he said all 47 STATES. :)
btw....to quote him again, "If you like the boat you already have, you can keep it..........COMMA!"
jb......how come people can have a God given right to be healthy but not have one to own or carry a gun to protect themselves? At least we buy our own guns, we don't have someone else buy them for us.

Ah, that's it! It's firearm envy ... don't tell him how big yours is or he might really get depressed!
