Ace 250 and "sniper coil"

Re: Ace 250 and "sniper coil"

Well I took the plunge and ordered a sniper coil for my ace after reading these posts ,I plan on doin some bleacher hunting and the bigger coil is just too sensitive around all the metal piping and if you folks say the sniper seems to get some decent depth then I should have some good results .

THANX EVERYONE

Re: Ace 250 and "sniper coil"

Around the steel framework you will probably need to back your sensitivity down to about two to prevent falsing. Anything under there should be shallow anyway. Monty

Thank you for the tip Monty , I just got my sniper from the dealer and man is it small
I cant wait to use it and I will keep you all posted on the results.

Re: Ace 250 and "sniper coil"

I use the stock coil that came with the Ace and it is very good. I can get quite close to swingsets, posts and metal stairs. Within 1 inch. Save your money.

Re: Ace 250 and "sniper coil"

For no more than they cost, I would get, and I have both, the sniper and the 9X12 coil. I use them both and would hate not having them both now. You sure can cover lots of ground with the 9X12 in low trash areas. And the ace with the sniper sure helps in the trash and is easy to swing. Also the pinpointer is a must have, at least for me. Sure speeds up recovery after you get it out of the hole. I use the Wizard Vib Probe, modified to turn on with the trigger. It is inexpensive ($26.95 to $37.95) , easy to carry(I use a belt clip cell phone case for a holster) and it gets the job done! The next thing is the Sabre tooth trowel. It can be had for about $8.95. All of this comes in under $400. What a bargain!!

;D This little thing "ROCKS" man, it has really decent depth for it size and pin pointing is AWSOME and I mean I don't even need my bullseye .
