Beautiful find Larson!
This is a perfect example of why I always keep my 'eyes on the ground' when field walking!

Congrats,

Absolutely stunning!!! Really amazing find !! Always wondered what the best soil conditions would be for preserving artifacts like that? Looks beautiful!! If it was in the ground, I'd love to know what the composition of the soil was like, as you were saying before, could be at least 350 yrs old!
Anyway, congrats on a spectacular find!!! Thanks for sharing !!!!

thanks for the illustration, nice to see it from a book too. Looks like you have to change your icon with your hand holding three instead of two!

CONGRATS ON THE BANNER !

Well deserved for sure...stunning artifact !!

That's a super find sir......banner all the way!!! It has to be one of the most unique artifacts I've seen posted here. What a prize! Thnx for letting us all see.

I noticed a flint. I have an aboriginal flint and stone. Probably for. Iroquois would be my best geuss. IMG_20140509_104259.jpg

Neat find. I'm surprised at how well the bone stays preserved.

Thanks,

Yeah, around here the soil eats up bone pretty quickly. Great find.
