65 Million gun purchases has to mean something!

.38 wheel gun easy to get along with here. .44 causes a slight list to port, but has its uses.
Found some one with spine problem last year selling large ammo stock. Added to previous its a hedge against inflation and shortage.
A couple more ammo cans and peanut butter jars should wrap up ammo.
A market for cache containers for long guns plausible, quality seal type 5 gallon pails too.

Content with Ruger when running a slide. Used to carry their 22/45,still my most accurate. Lc9 would be a great carry candidate, were i not over stocked. Something to consider horse trading should market calm down. Familiarity and confidence in revolver though it can print, it would take time to get used to semi auto again.
Pesky safety too on them new fangled ones! Hammer on empty cylinder, its ready to rock single or double. But then there's capacity.

I am setting funds aside for my next gun purchase, not sure yet what it will be, but setting money aside so when go to buy I have it in cash, should be with in a month or so...

I should buy a mold for Kieth style bullet and gas checks too. Should i some how ever need ammo i have enough lead and blackpowder for life.
Will function a cylinder or two just fine. Do you remember red hots?wax plastic bullets powered by primer only. Been shooting those on occasion.
Thinking for next purchase a 357,would be able to employ 38 stock. Should see what shop will pay for less used, its not the cost but too many not getting used.
A thin profile and light weight does appeal,at least unlike women they don,t get jealous if you have more than one favorite!

I have 3 pistols at moment, a 9mm S&W 559, the 9mm Ruger LC9 and little 22 Jennings J, it fits in my back pocket and can't tell it is there.... My next will be either 44 or 357 most likely... I traded a nice single action Black Hawk 44 for my S&W 559 about 20 years ago.........Have a nice Remington 1100 12ga semi-auto shotgun and 22 rifle as well...........

.22,.38,.44.semi and wheel guns., 45 blackpowder percussion,20 guage(.62?)smooth bore flinter. Handguns.
.22 single,.22 semi auto,25-06,.270,30-30, 410,20,12, long guns.
Couple 50 cal black powder,.62? Trade gun. long guns.
Couple others hid away.

Been getting guns but usually avoiding the background check. Next rifle I'm looking at is a Israeli made 44mag, pump action. Doesn't look like it has ever been fired although it has been. Got all the dies for reloading the ammo already.
I wonder what the stats are on guns "exchanging hands" and the gov not knowing.

Treasure hunter if your a shooter and like a nice gun to play with.. The ruger 204 is an awesome gun to add to your collection.. It is deadly accurate and is a blast to shoot.. Also good for coyote and woodchuck hunting if your into that.. Just thought I would make a suggestion..

Instead of fear and paranoia, its more like reality and self preservation. There is more misinformation on pmsnbc than is ever on the radio!

Let me explain what I mean about "Fear and paranoia." (F&P) I don't listen to MSNBC or Limpballs. I never really was a serious listener but I do know the gist of what radical media is about. I can tell you America has changed since the media has taken hold. Guns have always been available and no serious government threat has taken place. When BO took office the radical media saw opportunity. They created an enemy and a person to vent their frustrations on.
Having been born and lived in Chicago I know where BO makes his home. It's not uncommon to here gunfire so I can understand why BO might want to affect gun availability. I also know from the last four years he knows a lost cause and any major change in gun law is exactly that. There might be some minor regulation passed dealing with gun shows or large clips but nothing radical. Like I said. lost cause.
The mass media now can report something like a child abduction on the east coast and the entire country will know in minutes. I see parents not letting their kids out w/o them hovering near by. When was the last time you saw a kid riding a bike by themselves. Are these fears rational? NO, because they aren't based in experience but in a media driven account that might be 3000 miles away and says "Be afraid." I haven't found the world to be like that. I know there is a level of danger somewhere, sometimes but it's not my normal world.

So where does the "Fear and paranoia" come from? The media fuels it for ratings and bucks. Limpballs has made his mark by preaching F&P and has for years. So have others. There are web sites that deal with truth in broadcasting and one can find out who lies if they care. Well, they do lie but no one seems to want to know that.
I'm not afraid of anyone taking my guns or preventing me from buying others. What can change this in America, is the public reaction to the F&P being sold on the radical media and the "Do Nothing" positions of the NRA. If a lie is told often enough it becomes true in the minds of those that won't bother to check it out.
Fear and paranoia is driving the gun market today and it's probably difficult for some to say they're scared.

Most of my time in the military was in SAC (Strategic Air Command) I was involved with nuclear weapon systems during the cold war. The entire war was based on F&P. The world was never safe no matter how many nukes they had. The only way our world survived was pure dumb luck. The Soviet Union ran out of money and were tired of supporting all of the satellite countries they grabbed after WW2.
Some might tell me they aren't afraid but their behavior betrays them. I'll still defend the 2nd.

Hacker sounds like you and I had the same experiences since you worked in SAC you were doing the same general thing I was, I was a photo interpreter for Air Force Intelligence for 306 Bomb Wing... I can't tell you how many times we launched every single B-52 in this country loaded with nukes to fail safe points, missile silos opened and missiles warmed up because of Russian Bear bombers coming over the Bearing Straits to wards U.S. Both countries operated under the M.A.D. theory. (Mutual Assured Destruction).......It was litterly a game of "chicken" or nerves to see who blinked first......

I think my generation was the last to experience the cold war, and remember. Nukes was a common topic I think in
every household. d.o.b 74

Same reason many people give for owning a gun. Prob never going to need it. Prob won't do youth good if you need it. But somehow gives you a little peace of mind.

My guns will serve me just find thank you.. Trust me and I use them for various things such as hunting, sporting clays, recreation and for personal protection.. Would rahter be prepared than walking around thinking we live in a perfect world...

False sense of security, wasn't a chance in hades of surviving if you were within 50 miles of ground zero....

LOL, you can search and find dozens of stories of people who used their private weapon to save their life or their family lives and those or those of bystanders.....

You got people who buy car insurance, health insurance or life insurance, flood insurance, hurricane insurance do they think they are going to die today or tomorro, next week or anythime soon, are you going to be hit by a fllod or hurricane soon, you buy it in case you ever need it...Same with guns.......

I would rather be judged by 9 than carried by 6..........

I've purchased a few myself over the last few years. And if the prices wouldn't have skyrocketed, I'd be purchasing a few more. Heck, where I live, every store has been out of all popular ammo since Christmas! One store has a six month waiting list just get .22 longs!

I've got a good supply of everything I normally shoot, but come on! I'm almost afraid to go out 'plinking' for fear I might nor be able to replace the ammo I use!

I bought one of those high power air rifles to just have something cheap and fun to shoot.. It's a blast and is actually alot more powerful than I expected.. You should check into them..

I'm a child of the 60's. They told us all we could escape a fireball by hiding under WOOD. And we also had air raid drills where we all ran down to the school basement. Because they had to keep reminding us constantly that we could all die at any moment... And once North Korea gets a nuke, that stuff might start up all over again.
