Besides, the KKK now is more of a joke than anything else nowadays. Their members, when shown on TV as of late, are usually a dozen or so illiterate, trailer trash looking inbreds that can barely form a complete sentence. They hold about as much power as the token in this thread, zilch. The new Black Panther party in my opinion are the same, be it at opposite sides of the racial spectrum.

Absolutely, the KKK is never going to be anything more than a joke ever again. It would be interesting to hear how many members though...any guesses? I'm guessing less than a thousand devoted, committed members...a pretty much pointless organization.

Regardless of the meaning behind the relics others leave behind if we do not put these in museums, discuss them and use them as a teaching tools as to how far we have come as a society, what are we teaching our young society? If you don't like the message just erase it? This is what happened to the Confederate flag.

In the hospital parking lot the other night, Fri, Sat, night. I met a "claimed" member! He had no problem telling me all about it very loudly! I do respect what people want to believe, This is America he and anyone else has the right to hate who ever the want,I will normally give my own opinion though, but the guy was really embarrassing to even have around the vehicle. You know? One of those times your looking around to make sure no one hears him or thinks you are associated with him?:laughing7: Luckily my son started crying and I had an excuse to get away from the conversation! Also with no gun on me, I didn't know how stable the guy was and didn't want to argue or give my real opinion in that setting.

Also, Knew a guy in Ohio who claimed he was, He fit the normal profile of what you would envision! :laughing7: A guy just wanting to belong to something more than the hate of a race. Attention type thing? Big scary mouth on a poodle type thing! If you yelled "BOO" he would take off running. No real power there, for the group he claims to represent. :laughing7:

Ok way off topic, just saw your post and laughed and thought of those two guys!

We all need someone around to make us feel better about ourselves, KKK members are just willing volunteers.
