I know that it's sad that this existed less than a 100 years ago, & more scary that it still exists today. Will we ever learn from History??

Most KKK stuff I see is strictly fake, and I think your token may be a more recent fantasy piece.

If its not a fantasy peace then its a recent drop because there is no patina, this thing didnt spend any time in the ground. Must have been a surface find, im guessing?

He's a new member. Just because someone posts something in Today's Find's, doesn't mean it was found with a metal detector. I hear you though, it is a metal detecting forum, lol.

I found mine with some old coins. Wasn't sure of the value or really anything about it. Also didn't realize I was posting in the metal detector forum..

If we learned from HISTORY instead of word of mouth. We would all be wanting to join. Learn what it started out as, and not judge it by what it became in later years.

I see stuff posted frequently that was found in a coin roll, dumpster, sidewalk, flea market or eyeballed in a creek. Somebody clarify for me please . . . I'm a metal-detecting relic hunter, but is that not appropriate? I thought "finds" meant you found it somewhere. Not just with a detector. Moderator? Whats the call please?

There were chapters of the KKK that had all sorts of little trinkets they would give out so that is likely an authentic piece.
Interesting find from one of the less pleasant times in US history! :award_star_gold_2:

Interesting find Kunu! And keep posting those finds here...the key word is "finds". I believe that, although metal detecting finds dominate this forum, it is for all "treasure finds".

The clues in the name - ''Treasurenet - The Original Treasure Hunting Website''. So yes, anything, that was found 'today' that could be considered 'treasure'. It just happens that the vast majority is Metal Detected items & therefore that is what this has become naturally/organically.
