I got out to one of my hunting spots today and pounded it for 8 hrs.
I got the 1905 Indian Head Cent first and then the 1918-s Standing Liberty Quarter
that was on my wish list. Yes it's my first Standing Liberty and not to bad if I may say
so myself.
I also got a big button and some other things.

BANNER !!!

Rog,
You earned this one,
Super diggs Buddy.
Congrats.

Thom

BTW...did you notice, you have two banners going at once?
gotta be a record. LOL
Thanks Old Dog.

I want to thank everyone for all the replies and voting banner.
The site has history and goes back to the late 1800's up to 1901 when
there was a fire. I would like to tell it all but I would be giving away my
hunting site and I'm not about to do that.

One heck of a quarter there.

Don't you think you are exxxxxagerrating a little bit here, with first a double-double eagle find last week, and now this?

CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN!!!!!!!!

Wow! And to think, you dug this out of the dirt! It is truly a great hobby we have! Hoping it is indeed a 8 over 7! Congrats!

Roger,
I suppose the next one you should be looking for is a 1916 D mercury dime?
You got to keep climbing!!! Don't stop now! 3rd times a charm!!
Does your luck rub off on other people??I sure could use some!

Per J. H. Cline in his book 'Standing Liberty Quarters, "Discovered in 1937, most had circulated by then. Since there are no records to substantiate the total mintage of this piece, the total mintage could be considerably less than 7,500 pieces. Perhaps as few as 2,000-2,500." He bases his estimate of over 40 years of dealing full time in coins.
You've found a great (and rare) winner; banner for sure.

Thanks goldnow. I just can't helpmyself. No one has hunted in the woods
were all the goosberry and wild raspberry bushes grow, not to mention the nettles
that I got on me. I got my arms all torn up by the goosebery plants will geting the
coil in there.

The SLQ is sweet. They are hard to come by.

Thanks Butler. When I pooped it out it had about 1 1/2 inches of dirt
sticking out on both sides of it.

Nice finds ...must be a good spot...
Thanks GroundS.KeepeR. It is a good spot and was told today that
it was still going into the 1920's not 1901 like I had thought.
