1905 House turns up more coins & relics

Today, Bob (RWSNC) and I met at the 1905 house I recently got permission to detect. It was a hot (94 degrees) and humid southern day. Even the mosquitoes were sweating! ;D We hunted for about 4 hours and recovered some pretty nice relics.
It took me 30 minutes to remove my soaking wet wedgie when I got home. Sorry, no picture of that. :tongue3:

Bob's finds were:
*1912 "V" nickel (lucky dog) :icon_thumleft:
*1912 & 1919 "S" wheats
*Two decorative buckles
*Pocket watch pieces

My finds were:
*1926 Merc (Yeah Baby!) :headbang:
*1913 Buff nickel
*Wheats- 1918 (x3), 1926
*.58 musket ball
*Coca Cola knife - The engraving & style look to be fairly old. Any idea on the age?
*Brass whistle w/ball still inside (cork?)
*Pocket watch pieces
*Asst'd crappe'

Thanks for looking & have a great weekend,
MM

Is your 1913 Buffalo a type 1 or 2? type 1 will be on a mound type 2 will be straight line

Creeper,
It looks like he's standing on a plateau and it curves down on the left side, like going down hill. Does that make sense?
Now you have me curious.

I agree Joe. The Coca Cola knife was a pretty neat find.

Nice finds Doug. I agree that the Coca Cola knife is the find of the day. I love how "everywhere" was spelled out "every where" back in that day. Maybe it has some value!

that sounds like a type one can we get a pic?

Re: 1905 House turns up more coins & relics

Yeah... it was hot but it was nice to detect an area that didn't have a lot of pull tabs and crushed cans.
Thanks Doug.

That's for sure. The great thing is, I've only dug a couple of memorial pennies. Most of the pennies from this spot were IH's & wheats.
Nice job on that 1912 "V" today Bob. I was looking for an "S" mint mark after seeing the value in the Red Book. Sorry, no "S".
After you left I found some more wheats by the front porch and that whistle. Where the heck is the silver? ???

That was the very first coin dug today. I saw an old picture with the family sitting in lawn chairs in that area, so I hit it first today.
