LOL The Bigger the Batteries , the Bigger the Flames !

But wait, EV's are good for the the environment, mining lithium only causes water, soil, air contamination, deforestation, mining CO2 emissions, you know.
Listen, the rare earth minerals also do not come directly from our enemy. What possibly could go wrong with switching our entire transportation system over to EV’s?? I don’t see a downside.

You are referring to alkai, a component of lithium. I believe we are putting the cart ahead of the horse. I heard an engineer once say that we should have kept improving steam cars, maybe so. I like gas vehicles although I do have friends with EVs.
I do wonder what the future will hold for transportation, it is looking complicated.
Signing out, work early.

The power grid cannot sustain the EV transformation.

Prove me wrong.

A mix of all technologies is likely a good thing.

2 years ago 57% of the trucks on the road in the US were “near zero emission” diesel vehicles. Not sure what the number is now, but I think it’s over 60%

Dirty diesel trucks just like dirty coal power is a thing of the past. News media certainly won’t let you know that. Emissions caused by the average worker is so low, they are saying leaf blowers and lawn mowers are the major contributors now.

In my mind if nuclear fusion is going to be possible, our storage technology needs to be advanced enough to take advantage of the safe clean energy.
