I’ve never found a pocket watch key or ox shoe before, but I am guessing this what I found.
Looks like the Indian was dropped the year it was made. It is now my oldest Indian I’ve found.
Congratulations on the keydate indian! Just 10 mil minted. Probably at least a 100 dollar coin

I think 1909-S is the key date for that series. 1877 also. Beautiful Indian! Environmental damage with About Uncirculated details.
Yes , 1877 & 1909-S are key dates. Also the two coins missing from my collection. This 1866 recovery is much better condition than the coin I had in my collection, with it’s crisp details.

Ah the infamous ox shoe. We find multiples every time we go out. At one time I think there were more oxen than people in Nova Scotia. I keep threatening to paint them vivid colours and do a Christmas Tree of nothing else.

Cool finds! The pits in The Indian Head are the price killer, but a great coin to have anyway! Congratulations and thanks for posting.

That is at grades 4, 12, and 40. IMO this grades at least 45 to 50 details, and yes it will have environmental damage... but still .... at 60 it comes in at 420
