Awesome man. Those are rare to dig for sure. You just don't see them.

Imagine just seeing a slight tail / bump on the south west side of the 6 !!! Man I'm so amazed you found that . Much respect

Congrats, man! You deserve it.

You gotta love those screamers!

What a refreshingly awesome contribution to TNET--Draped Silver. Thanks for sharing a special coin with a lot of envious readers.

Really beautiful coin !!
Congratulations on both banner and the find !!

Keep @ It and HH !!

That's what's up!

You have a Browning-3 variety. Very Common. THANK YOU for the pics! For a minute there, I thought we had a new variety, which as experience has told us, CAN happen.! :-) CONGRATS ON THE BANNER AND YOUR COIN!

OMG such a beautiful coin. That's what metal detecting dreams are made of. Congratulations! Can you tell us more about the find itself? Type of location, history, depth etc, exact GPS coordinates? (J/K on last one...)

Congrats on an awesome find and for a well deserved Banner! The Draped Bust/Heraldic Eagle Quarter along with her famed Draped Bust counterparts (i.e. Half Dime, Dime, Half Dollar and Dollar) IMHO are the most beautiful coins ever minted in the United States. While the Stars are weak above and to the left of the Eagle's head, this was fairly common with all Heraldic Eagle Series coins. Although the coin appears well worn, the key points for grading are mostly strong and I believe due to this and due to the rarity of the coin, it could possibly achieve an F-12 grade. At the least, it might only get a VG-10. Due to potential value and because of the history of past sales on eBay for uncertified and graded coins of similar grade (i.e. these sold for a lot less than all Price Guide Values), I believe that it would be in the best interest of the O.P to have the coin certified and graded, especially if they ever decide to sell the coin.

Frank
We are not going to go through this whole "grading" thing again......ARE WE??? LOOK.......The coin is SCRATCHED....Environmentally Damaged....and WELL WORN! He doesn't need a grading service to tell him that....at "X" amount of dollars. This is BAD advice on this coin. PRISTINE condition-- EF or above...MAYBE. This one isn't even CLOSE! C'mon guys! Let's get a grip!

For the most part, I'm with you on this
Dug coins should be appreciated for what they are, with exceptions to pure rarities
Especially the paying a grading service to lighten your wallet, it's no doubt worth a couple of Benjamin's , be happy with that

Incredible coin. Congrats on the find...and well deserved banner.

CONGRATS on the BANNER !!!

Very nice coin.....hope one day I find mine !

Now you will wanna tear up the ground all summer !!!
