1798 Draped bust. buttons..silver.ext..

So finally had a day to hunt longer then a hour...I had alot of fun.
Even Treblehunter came up for a little bit.
Although he left to soon...Right after he left I pulled the draped bust out.
I love hunting areas were there was foot traffic for hundreds of years. .
The best find for today was a button that has RP on it with a crown..Its made of pewter I belive its from the revaluationary war. It was found were the British was camped...Hope its the real deal...

Wow Vino, killer digs. The LC rocks. The lead piece looks like a foster style slug for a shotgun. It appears to be shorter in length than most, but sure looks like one. Congrats and HH

That's a beauty buddy! I only have one DB in that kind of condition and one kg Irish that's nice. They just don't come out like that very often at all. That button seems to be old. Can't imagine a reenactment button would be that roached but I'll let the experts chime in before I make an ass out of myself lol.

Hey George, i think i know what that fat bullet is. I believe it's a shotgun slug, maybe modern sabot slug, I'll see if i can find an example

Hey George.... I'm pretty sure that pewter button is a Royal Provincials button. It is sideways in the picture, but I can clearly see the RP. Whether its real or re-enactment, I don't know but cool find!! That LC is awesome!!!
