🥇 BANNER 1796 Draped Bust Dime

I haven't posted here in awhile but I had to share this find. I finally found my first 1700's US silver coin and it's all I could have ever hoped for and more. It's a 1796 Draped Bust Dime JR-6 variety with visible die crack through the date. I found it yesterday, about 4-5" down at the edge of a corn field. As soon as I saw it I knew I had something special.

Congrats on an fantastic coin recovery. You don't see early US silver very often. Is that a die break on the obverse side of the coin on the date? If so, is that of particular interest to a someone who specializes in that series? Awesome!

I just love the contrast that so many years in the ground has left on the worn surface. Be careful, any cleaning may wipe away the natural contrast to the details.I love it just as old ,worn and grimy as it is. Spectacular find.
