1793 LARGE CENT?

This past weekend I found this & it is so much thicker than any other coin I have found so I thought it was a slug. After cleaning, I could see the strawberry leaf at the bottom or some type of 3 leaved leaf, so I am thinking this may be that coin. I can't see a date, so I am guessing about the year...

I don't believe this to be the strawberry variety as there are only 4 known to exist. Your coin is the regular "wreath" variety. Even in its condition still worth some $. Not everyday you find such a historic US coin. Congrats.

I would say 1793. It does look a little like the strawberry leaf and I can see the 3 below it.

It is not the Strawberry Leaf Variety but still an awesome and rare find in my' book! You can definitely see the three Olive leaf sprigs above the Date which shows that it is not the extremely rare Strawberry Leaf. Now, the O.P. needs to determine if it has the Vine/Bars Edge or Lettered Edge as the latter is somewhat more valuable. Congrats to the O.P. on a great find! Even though it is not the Strawberry Leaf Variety, I believe that any 1793 Large Cent find is rare and worthy of a Banner.

Definately a Rittenhouse-Eckfeldt wreath design 1793..............Not sure of variety.........maybe Sheldon 5?
