Still in disbelief right now after tonights hunt at my best site for early stuff. Accomplished two things I never really thought I had much chance of doing. A hammered English silver and a 16th century one at that:headbang: It also appears to have been bent like what they call love tokens over in England. Thanks for looking and so glad I could share my excitement with everyone

If only these coins could talk. What a journey this coin must have taken. A clipper ship and a new world.
Banner vote sent.

You took the words right out of my mouth bud... "If only these coins could talk", just imagine the stories it could tell us of it's journey through time.

Congratulations on achieving your forth BANNER on Tnet toasted!

Dave

Way to go! What a great historic find. That coin was waiting a long time for you to come and find it!

Very unusual Find, especially on this side of the Atlantic!

My buddy dug this Elizabeth I half Groat while we were detecting a site in Cape May New Jersey a few years back. Sorry the photos are upside down!

Yours is definitely one of a handful dug here on these shores. It's definitely more banner worthy than his! Congratulations!

May I ask what county in MD? (PM Me if you don't want to share publicly!)

SCORE!!!!!!!!

Man that is nice & honestly I like the 'love Token' aspect of it the most .

I hear the NE 'Rural' USA calling me , I hope to make it up there God Willing.

Super BANNER find. Thrilling!

I found a Spanish bronze from earlier in the 1500โ€™s on LI. If only these old ones can talk! Great find you got there.

Museum piece right there holy smokes Sweet you deserve it my friend. Great to see.

Allow me to be the 78th person to compliment this find. I am in Awe of it! :notworthy:
