Hello All!
It was just a beautiful day yesterday and I had a great time detecting. I finally won one over at the park closest to my house where silver has eluded me until now. Also hit up a new spot after some research the night before and it paid off! It was a great day, 60 degrees, alot of...
Not much but it's my first!!
My ol' pal hooked me up at an old church...... Not "east coast old" but early 1900's. Since Oklahoma didn't become a state until 1907 ...... It's old to us. Found my first silver ever and I am stoked!
First time posting in today's finds!
Started off the morning with a short hike through my woods to an old house foundation I found 2 days ago, found some weird, flower shaped sprinkler thing on the surface.
Decided to head back to my house to search my yard as I wasn't having much luck, and...
Hi. I am hoping you can help me with this. I came across what looks like Antique Flatware. This flatware has no markings on it. I did take it to a jewler and had it tested to see if it was silver. They did a stone test? They rubbed the flatware on a black stone it made a white mark then...
Hi everyone,
I’m wondering if you can help me out or point me in the direction of someone who can? I’m looking for silver, silver ore and mineral samples from Spanish and Spanish American mints and mines. More detailed information follows-
My name is Liesel Gentelli and I am a PhD student at the...
Would anyone know what the gold and silver flakes my boyfriend and I found are? We were out mining when I noticed a few of them on top of the ground. I then noticed that there was a chunk barely showing above the surface of the ground. We started digging and found that there was a pocket of...
I started coinroll hunting dimes around the first of January, 2014, after having good luck coinroll hunting for cents, only doing 15-20 boxes of cents finding a 1859 cent in VF, and a 1891 cent in VG, I also did only 5-10 rolls of nickels (yes, 5-10 rolls), and found half a roll of uncirculated...
Hello All,
I have been going thru withdrawl lately with the frozen ground here in CT but we had a couple of above freezing days so I decided to try and go detecting. I hit a local elementary school where I have had some luck in the past and did pretty good even with the frozen ground. Check...

I was checking the drawer I use at work and saw that someone used this to pay for items. I quickly replaced it with a regular $5. I have never seen one in real life, let alone owned one. Looks like someone used a counterfeit pen to check if it was real a few times, bummer.
I had never seen one and had to look it up. I went out in the snow a bit today. It is rare we get snow but after being inside for a few days I had to get out. I am glad I did . This thing hit under the normal penny range on my XP Deus at 12khz it was ringing a solid 75. At 18khz it was showing...

Well freezing outside, can't metal detect...or really do anything outside lol. So was looking through some of my recent coin purchases, and this one kinda stuck out. Its a barber quarter 1898, it seems like there may be a faint mint mark. I see the mint mark of an S, photos aren't the best...got...
Hello All,
I can't believe it but I was lucky enough to be able to go out detecting again today at my local park here in CT. There is one baseball field that i keep detecting that has soft enough ground to dig...everywhere else i try to dig is frozen, it's kind of weird but i won't complain as...

Ring Maker's Mark
I'm trying to identify a ring I just received as a gift... sterling silver, has a 925 on one side of the inside and an unidentified monogram on the other. It has cable like bands, and I'm not sure what kind of black stone with diamonds set around it. Also guesses of possible...
Happy new year!
I am a happy girl today. 4 rings. 2 silver and 2 gold. The big gold band is a puzzle ring and I am not sure what stone is in the gold ring....garnet? ruby?. The puzzle ring has 6 separate gold rings that have to be put together like a puzzle piece. I had to go to the...
Today's dime box finds
Today I went to the bank and took out $250 in dimes, after searching them I noticed that 95% of the dimes in each roll were dated 2013. After I searched that box I went to another bank and exchanged that box for another one. In the first roll there was a silver (1950 p)...

Dreams of fortune and glory is not a new one and even after the conquest of the Incas people so dreamed of fortune and glory in Peru.
One such claim came from Paolo Greer's research in 1978.
Greer posed the question was "lost city of the Incas", Machu Picchu, was it actually discovered forty...
Figured I would try something a little different...

I was in a deep, dry, river bed digging underneath an old Bay tree where the water had washed away much of the earth beneath the tree. I came accross this specimen, Covered in shiny black rods going in every direction. between the rods were small splotches of gold and silver color that sparkled...
I have been detecting for a couple years off and on, but lately really getting into it. I' m in Harford County MD, and looking for some promising areas to detect or hunt. Favorites are coins, relics, and jewelry, but still searching for the hidden cache of gold and silver bullion!!! :skullflag:

I've owned my Fisher F2 for about a year and after practicing in the yard and finding pennies (2 wheaties), dimes, and strange odds and ends, I decided to venture out to local parks. Luckily there are no laws restricting local park detecting! So on my birthday this year in September, my wife and...
