My first head banging song. My grandmother, of all people, got me hooked on this song.

==========

That was an easy and effective song :notworthy: It was one of my favorites until I saw The Ventures do it. Both The Ventures and their version quickly ranked among my favorites. Their version in this video is a tad more complex. :icon_thumleft:

I had a feeling you would be familiar with that. :glasses12:

39* degrees this morning May 10th and I’m sitting in my Shop porch swing with an insulated coat on in the Deep South. Thanks Al Gore.

Happy mother's day WD !!

While spearfishing yesterday I found a big shipwreck debris feild !! This ship beat itself apart for a mile down a shallow water bank. I had found a shipwreck last year close by and I think what I found yesterday was the original grounding spot and what I found last year was the final resting spot. Yesterday's discovery looked to be wher the masts and much hardware went overboard to lightin the load and refloat the ship. There is a possiblity that there are 2 separate wrecks here....could be that one wreck went to the bottom here or that one wreck sank here and that one was refloated and saved. They could be 100 years apart and in the same spot. It's a definite mystery and I'm checking sources now on what has been lost in this area. I see no signs of cannon or armament...so...I'm thinking merchant vessel from mid to late 1800s. I swam 2 large spar fittings back to the boat to try and date....they were very heavy (35 pounds possibly) and everyone and myself were shocked that I was able to swim each one the 300 yards back to the boat !! It was a herculean effort to retrieve them from 26 foot depth in one breath !! I'll post pics after the rain stops here. In the meantime my partner scotty was spearing hogfish !! It was a good day and even the cap was eager to start back where we left off last year. View attachment 1832334
Whatever it was it was large....I saw a large chain plate and rigging eye that I could not swim to the surface it was so heavy !! There were spar fittings, chain plates, ships spikes, mast hoops (that were very large), and many other parts I could not easily identify. I realize now that there are very few of us that could even notice any of this on the bottom. After repeatedly pointing out objects to my divers i could tell that they just dont have the experience to understand what there looking at....it all looks like rocks and reef to them, and probably would to 99% of divers !! I'm slowly training there eyes to identify shipwreck stuff. Scotty my protege is the best at this and has spent time digging with me at depth on compressed air. I've nick named him aquaman !! It was a great day had by all....WOOO HOOO !!

Well, mateys, I’ll not deny it was a very hard day to get through. It had some snags to it, also. But in the end my two kids managed to bring their whole families over saving the day by keeping touch with Mamma Kin.

I can't top that black bart, but I did get the last quart of straw
berry ice cream as we as the ice cream sandwiches though!

LOL
