Huge score this week for quarters with 4 solid rolls. The majority were in the 60s. 94x 1964. 16x 1963. 16x 1962. The rest were mixed in the 40s and 50s. No key dates Or varieties but a lot of album fillers!

This also put me over 100 oz for the year.... Way over! I was at 98, so this puts me over 125 oz I believe. I'll update the total tomorrow morning. HH!!!!!!! image.jpg

Zomo : you mention "grocery store" often in your log, is it the same local store, or are you referring to the general retail stores of ALL types. Congrats none the less.

Hey dozer! The grocery stores I hit up are Safeways. They are a big chain in the NW. It's not just one specific location, but many locations of the same grocery store.

Their customer service counters have small rooms in the back with coin counting machines to process their coin at the end of shifts. It's sorts by denomination and halves are easy to ask for and buy. I was at one today picking up lunch and they had $22.50, came out with one '64 :headbang:

I've tried other stores like Albertsons/Haagens, or Fred Meyers but no real luck because they don't have a counter like the Safeways. Do you have any in your area?

I never would have thought of that :icon_scratch: . How did you stumble upon that bit of info? I do have Safeway stores in the area.
Thanks for sharing the tip.

I believe I got the idea from this site :laughing7: I just walked up to service counter and asked... the lady went to the back and I could hear them counting the halves through the coin machine. First try at it I got 4 x 40%ers I believe.

I asked a few questions to learn when it is best to ask for them. Usually mid week. It can be hit or miss, sometimes I get none, but like clockwork I find at least a handful of 40%ers each month.

Nothing to interesting besides the $980 of mwr I picked up at a bank I go to often. Not in a box, not recrimped rolls. Just $980 of mwr. I can only figure someone is weighing them and opening only the rolls that are heavy than normal :dontknow: any guesses?

There were 3 silvers... One roll even had 2 in it which is really odd to see if someone is weighing. Just don't get it... Their loss my gain. hH!!!

I weigh rolls just so I can open the heavy ones first. I still open everything for those nifc though. Have about 2 rolls of nifc so far.

Do you ever find that the rolls that are not "heavier" still have silver? I'm glad you open all the rolls

Week of 12/14 to 12/20

Another Epic week of cwr!!!! 9 solid half dollar rolls, with 137 '64 Kennedys, 14 Bens and the rest 40%ers. I've been really blessed to see the amount of silver I have in the last few months. Just looking back the last 3 months I've found about $160 of face value silver coin... unreal. The tellers are treating me well also, just been really great end to the year. Yesterday I found 3 '64s and 5 40% at the Grocery store, which I will include in next weeks finds... but scoring everywhere.

A few months ago I was hoping to hit my 100 oz goal for the year. I remember I was at about 87 oz with a few months left... Little did I know that I would be over 192 oz for the year with 2 weeks left. I just might hit 200 :notworthy:

Merry Christmas to everyone!!! And Happy Hunting!!!!
