It's been really slow with the boxes. Found a bank that had $3500 in halves ordered but the person never picked them up. I grabbed two extra boxes this week and one of them had the '51s Franklin... would have been skunked for the week otherwise. Happy Hunting

Half way through the year I'm a bit under pace to hit 100 ounces for the year. Things have to pick up quick, it's been pretty slim pickings as of late. Sorry for the lack of pictures lately... like I mentioned, nothing really noteworthy to take a picture of, but finds are finds, and i'll start posting them again. HH!

Dimes
$125 cwr- 3 x Rosie's
Coin star- '60d

Finally a pretty decent week. July has been slow on the finds and the skunk streak ends at about 4 weeks on the halves boxes. The majority of a score came on a road trip where one bank $690 cwr. Teller said the guy that turned them in the other day was moving to California and needed to get rid of his collection. Most of the rolls were solid NIFC. One roll was all proof halves. And a few rolls had the 3 '70d, and a '64. Weird what was in the collection, but happy to score a few decent coins. HH!

Wow! Very nice find on the French coin! Looks like 83.5% silver and ~20.9M minted. Cool proof, too. What's the other dime?

You got it! The centime is silver :icon_thumright:

The other dime is a 75 s proof. Filled a hole in the album!

Wow, looks like you get a lot of Canadians. I would like to get a Mackerel 10 cents coin at some point...do you know if it's the 80% type or the 50% type?

I'm not sure, do you know how to tell? A quick search online states they weight the same, crazy... I'd love to know!

80% = 2.33 g
50% = 2.18 g

Although, your scale needs to be very accurate for this measurement to work.

Looks like it's the 80% variety... my scale isn't great but going to lean on the 80%
