Well I have been doing this for about a year now and days, weeks, and months have all blurred together. I think these logs are a great way to share finds and keep track of the daily hauls.

How I didn't notice this thread until a few weeks ago is beyond me :icon_scratch:

Anyhow... Last weeks totals 6/2-6/8

3 dime boxes - 4 Rosies and 3 mercs. 41 and 44x2

1 nickel box - 44P

First ever bag of halves $270 worth - 64 x2 and a local car wash token worth a free car wash:thumbsup:

$240 in customer wrapped halves - 2 40%ers. No halve boxes this week

Look forward to seeing everyone's results and HH!

Yes, this is a good thread.

Keep it up and let us know.

HH

Happy Father's Day to all!

Week of 6/9 to 6/15

Had a road trip for work so I decided to stay for the afternoon in that city and hit up every bank I could find, and ordered a few boxes to pick up while I was down there.... Not great results.

2 boxes of halves - skunked

About $950 of cwr halves - 40%ers x 3. 66' 2x67.

2 dime boxes - 3 Rosies. 64x2, 61

Teller trays - 2 Rosies. 60' 64.

Pretty bummed out about the cwr results... I think I just picked up a bunch of other people's dumps, but so goes it.

Week 6/16 to 6/22

$60 in nickels - '45 P, my first 1950 D! In bu shape!!!!

1box of dimes all cwr - skunked

1box mwr dimes - '63 Rosie

1 box mix of $120 cwr and $380 mwr - '50 S Rosie. Also my first and a hard date to find!

$150 in mwr dimes - '63, '64 Rosies.

$160 in cwr halves - lonely '69

Also finally filled my first tube of silver dimes! I was pretty pumped. HH!

Looks like some more good finds. And congrats on the nice condition '50D nickel and completing your first dime roll! I don't search dimes anymore but I think a roll or so is about what I found in the past CRHing dimes too.

HH!

Thanks SilverFace! The dime roll took about a year, but I would say in the last 2 months, i've accumulated 75% of the roll. Dimes have been good, about a 2 silver average.

Week of 6/23 to 6/29

3 boxes of halves
Box 1 & 2 - skunks
Box 3 - '68d, '89s, '76s

180 cwr halves - skunk

1 box of quarters - skunk

2 boxes nickels
Box 1 - '43s
Box 2 - skunk - actually 2x'39 but no silver

1 box dimes - skunk

By far my worst week ever, even the loose halves were dismal. But hey, I wasn't completely skunked for the week! Can't wait for next week to start! HH

Week of 6/30 to 7/6

3 boxes of halves - skunksville

1 box of dimes - skunk

Teller trays - 2 Rosies '59, '64

Busy week with the holiday but not much luck. Hope to post better results soon. HH!

Week 7/6 to 7/13

A much better week but the boxes are still bad.

4 boxes of halves - skunks.
Did get 4 2014s

1 bag of halves $493.50 - skunk

2 boxes of dimes

Week of 7/14 to 7/20

Skunk streak continues with the halves sadly

2 boxes of halves - skunks

2 boxes of dimes
Box 1 - skunk
Box 2 - '60d Rosie. Also found my first proof dime - '76s!

I don't date check dimes... But with edge checking I have over time found that I can tell what are the newer dated dimes and what are better shape older coins (possibly proof coins). Much easier with halves, but first success with dimes. I'm sure I've passed over many this way, but dimes are sooooo time consuming. Any other tips out there?

Cwr halves - $120 - '66x1

Teller trays - '66x1, '67x1, '68d x1

The teller for the '68 said she had been meaning to buy the halves for herself, she thought they were cool. I said that's ok I understand, but she felt bad and said that I should have them. There were only two coins, the '68 and a '71.

Week of 7/21 to 7/27

Skunk streak ends on the halves! Streak ends at 13. Thank goodness

2 boxes of halves
Box 1 - skunk
Box 2 - '68d, '69d
$380 cwr halves - '68d

2 boxes of dimes - skunk
150 cwr dimes - skunk

Heading to a small town this week on business and hope to get lucky with some cwr halves and dimes! HH!

It sure is a nice relief seeing some silver edges in boxes again after thousands and thousands of nothing but clad coins and putting an end to a long skunk streak. Just late this week I put an end to a two week long 9 box skunk streak myself which was a nice relief for me too. Good luck with your out of town road trip.

H$H!

Week of 7/27 to 8/3

Road trip went ok. Picked up $340 in cwr and got 3 40%ers. I also picked up 2 boxes of halves, but skunked.

Overall

4 boxes of halves
Box 1 skunk
Box 2 skunk
Box 3 skunk
Box 4 skunk - did pick up 3 proofs '81s, 82s, and 99s clad

$260 in cwr dimes - '64d Rosie

$46 in cwr nickels - '44p x 2.

I was able to get $42 in Ike's. First proof. '78s

I also picked up pennies for the first time. A teller at a local grocery store branch knows to keep an eye out for me on anything customer wrapped. Well, a guy came in with grandmas penny jar. She said he wrapped all the pennies at the branch, and said there was a bunch of old ones. I bought all $20 worth and I think I did fairly well. 40 wheaties! I was stoked. I need to go through them still but a few 1930s, mostly 40s and 50's.

Looks like you did real good with all the cwrs. And that's kinda cool finding a '78S proof Ike. Its kinda strange that I've had pretty good luck finding 4 silver Ike's over the past few years but I've never found a clad proof Ike or even a '73 Ike. And its always good having nice tellers looking out for you.

H$H!

Fun week for sure!

Coingrats on a great week of finds. Im curious does a 40% silver/60% copper magicians coin look copper inside similar to an all clad coin? And coingrats on the teller tray find too. That's always a nice surprise finding them like that. And you did great with the dimes and nickels too. Three war nickels, a buffalo and a V nickel ender is a great box. You've been finding all kinds of firsts lately that are still on my first list that I've yet to find. I found a couple of minor firsts last week myself - a '73S clad proof Ike (my first '73 Ike from any mint and my first clad proof too) and a '49 Ben which I believe is the first pre '51 Ben I've ever found. Like I said, just minor firsts lol.

Thanks silverface! The proof Ike is a great find, I'm still waiting on my for my first silver Ike. On the magician coin question, here's a pic of my clad one. I'm not sure how they would look inside... I'd be interested to see a pic if anyone has one that is 40%.

That's a cool looking coin. Im sorry, I misread your post. I didn't see the comma between the '68D and the magician coin so I was thinking you found a '68D magicians coin lol. I think someone else did find a 40% silver magicians coin recently but I cant remember if they posted a pic or not. Here's a cool looking magicians coin I found earlier this year myself. I haven't found too many of these so its quite a surprise when I do.

HH!
