It's been about 9 months since I signed in or posted. I've been lazy about posting. I recently upgraded to the Nox 800 and yesterday was my 4th day using it. Switching from the AT Pro to the Nox 800 has been a piece of cake. I've pulled silver each day I've used the 800 so far. I did a morning hunt and an afternoon hunt.

The morning hunt didn't yield much and it was short. I managed to pull this big name plate. I usually dig all targets in quiet areas.

In the afternoon i went to a park where I've found a 1800s coins in the past. I've hit it multiple times with the ATP but i can't say I covered every inch.

My first good target was this ring really close to the base of a young tree. The stone was already out when I found it in the plug. I attempted to sift around to find it but no luck.

Continuing on swinging, I found myself at a big tree with a lot of broken branches around it. I got this amazing sounding tone around 33VDI, I didn't think about it, I pinpointed and dug the plug. My first Seated Half. I had to pinch myself to make sure I was alive and not in MD heaven hahaha.

Thanks for looking. Merry Christmas and good luck out there!

Congrats on your first Seated Half. I have plenty of dimes and quarters, but I'm still looking for that big Seated Half myself.

Now you're asking yourself, why did I wait so long to make the switch? Congrats on that big seated. I've never even dug a seated quarter!

Haha right! I'm stubborn, watching John's YouTube videos wore me down. I raised more money this year with fantasy football which funds most of my MD purchases.

How you never dug a seated quarter is a head scratcher. It's hard to believe with all the land you've searched.

Two Draped Bust silvers, two Capped Bust silvers, 70 Spanish silvers..... four measly seated dimes. Seated just doesn't cooperate with me :dontknow:

Haha That's a good way to spin the disappointment, you've found a lot of the older silvers. That seated dime you found that day i last seen you was impressive.

That's a wonderful coin! Big congrats on that and the other digs.

It would be hard to loose a half dollar back then. I'm sure the owner was looking for it also. It's a beauty!!! I love the tag!!

Welcome back, great finds! :occasion14:

Congrats Louis! You are on an incredible start/streak with your Nox. That Half is going to be tough to beat. We’ve had some fun hunts this year, thanks for the invites and good to see a post finally...

We certainly stumbled onto some good "dots" this year. I'm looking forward to 2020, i have some areas of interest I haven't discussed with you yet.

I agree, it will be hard to top a seated half but i have a feeling I'll find a way. It might take a while tho 😂
