Now we're back to the difference between the top of the line V-Flex machine vs the bottom of the line FBS.
 

I wish I was a guy to just make a decision and just got with it ...... Not The Case.

I normally have what they call "Paralysis of Analysis" ... I like to read, research, ask, and deliberate ... and sometimes I drive myself nuts and others around me (you should see my wife, she's two steps away from the looney bin) :laughing7:

I'll make up my mind one of these days ... just better to know and be prepared and have a better chance at making the right choice the first time around is all.
 

At Pro you can get new 600.00 and have plenty left over...they have the spring special that has both coils for about 700.00 and shop around you can get great bundle deals which will include a propointer.....whatever you decide I feel sorry for you lol just kidding but by the time you decide what machine then you have to decide what dealer and by that time there may be new models out lol
 

Its like comparing apples to oranges between the two different technologies...I would just watch the videos and see which appeals to you more....or if you are lucky enough to live anywhere near a dealer go test drive them
 

What if u make a list straight up of what u want to look for, & where, then on another page put what both machines have to offer see which one has most to offer u & u will get the best out of,

Selling something SO Expensive even at 800 dollars (which someone bid on so he's gonna sell it) .... but only One Single Sentence!!!

This ting could be immaculate and the most amazing deal of all time but who would know ... I could never spend my money on something like that that cost so much and not be able to see it, touch it or have WAY more info on it.

I do get what you guys are saying about other places though that sell used and not eBay .. more trusted sites.

Maybe I'll check em' out and see what they have to offer.

Chris, just be careful, there are some counterfeit Minelab/ Garrett and Fisher detectors and accessories out there. If you buy used, make sure the guy has a following on the forums or you use a site with some guarantee.

I didn't even know they had counterfeit models out there like that ...and I bet you anything the #1 detector to be copied is the Minelab E-Trac or Expolrer models.

Ya I'm staying away that's for sure!

I read the number one copied is the GPX series because there are many sold in Africa and other foreign nations during gold "rushes" and people buy them like crazy without regard to authenticity but soon find out the fakes don't perform in the field.
 

There are fakes of everything from.detectors,car parts weapons,clothes antiques anything of or can hold value someone will fake it to make a dollar, always check serial #'s on everything make sure you know who u deal with & be 100% on ur purchase

If a seller provides you with the Serial # located on the Minelab detector ... is there a way to verify on Minelabs website or another way if the serial # is genuine?
 

So they don't have anything where you can enter in a serial number to verify if it's genuine then looks like.

I guess I will need to call them to verify that?

I have a guy selling a E-Trac that looks legit and I have the detector and coil serial # and wanted to verify with Minelab that it's genuine and also what remains on the warranty as well.
 

Pretty sure you can call or email Minelab...Ron from Gold digger detectors did and they told him when it was manufactured

I would ask how much better those are then the X-Terra 705's and Safari but I think I know the answer to that already ... they seem amazing and I am a Very techy guy and this thing looks FUN. :tongue11:
 

The 705 is a different technology so its an animal of its own nature all together but the Etrac is far superior in all respects to the Safari. . I doubt you will find anyone that will argue that...Explorers are excellent too....lol tons of people prefer them to Etracs....now there is a debate right there Explorers or Etrac
