XP Deus----Its the real deal.

The first price represent the basic but 100% usable package. You can add the remote control for more funtionalities and control and you can always choose the headphone of your choice.

You can add coils and in the futur a wireless Pinpointer (end of Q2 2016).

Prefer to buy it from an official distributor and why not a TNET sponsor?

Enjoy

Precisely. When I bought my Deus, I got the 11" coil and the main control unit along with wired backphones for $1,230.00

Yesterday, I went ahead and ordered the wireless backphones for $329.00.

Could've saved some money by getting them all together, but at the time I wasn't sure I'd need the wireless phones.

Believe me you are going to get spoiled not having to deal with a headphone cord when digging out a plug. Also, the backphones are a great choice (vs. the WS5 over the ear phones) because (1) The headphone control module is removeable so you can put in on any number of third party over-the-ear phones that can accommodate the headphone control module (I personally like the Vance muffs - Google it) (2) the WS4's are weather resistant, and (3) the WS4 control module can be married to a number of deus accessories such as a wrist band mount and a new mount that attaches to the same spot the main control unit attaches to on the main shaft enabling you to see the lcd readout while you keep the more fragile main control unit out of harms way or if you want to go into a more stealthy mode (to make either of these alternate WS4 control module mounting schemes work you also need to purchase the WS4 module wired headphone adapter that attaches to the back of the module). Bottom line is the WS4 just gives you a lot more cofiguration flexibility vs. the WS5 over-the-ear headphones. HH

I love the ws4 setup. Versatile flexible and most importantly allows you to hear surroundings while your distracted.

+1 WS4 is the ideal package

Yeah, frogmaster, I've been eyeballing both the Vance phones and the Chefphones. I've read enough to know to steer clear of the Gray Ghosts, at least where the Deus is concerned.

Out of these two, which would you (or anyone else) recommend? As I've never personally tested either of them.

Haven't tried the Chefs, but have tried the Gray Ghosts and the Vance muffs have them beat hands down. Tones are as crisp with the Vance phones as the WS4's. Plus, they come recommended by the guy who literally wrote the definitive book on the Deus, Andy Sabisch.

Try first the WS4, it is used by the vast majority of Deus users. I think it really sticks to the Deus philosophy in term of ergonomic.

Yeah i'ma give those a shot. Ordered them just the other day in fact. But in the event I need to keep my ears warm or I need to filter out noisy areas, I'm seriously thinking about putting the Vance phones on my wish list. I've been reading good reviews all over the place.

Yeah I kinda wish I would have owned an AT Pro or an AT Gold. I've heard lots of good things about them.

I jumped straight from my trusty old GTAx 1250 to the Deus. To me, it's kind of like driving a Chevy all your life and then buying a new Ferrari. Look at me; I can hit 110 in second gear with my new Deus!

But yeah, this thing is a beast...

XP Deus----It's the real deal.

Chances are 99% that i will buy from a sponsor here. I am sure i will get a better deal. But E-bay is a great source for research and finding out what packages are available and what the MAP prices are.
Thank you for the info on the XP.

I got mine from Wayne at metaldetectingstuff a couple weeks ago. They are great and I called Wayne a couple days ago on a question and talked to him for a bit. He is available after the sale for questions or just to talk about detecting. Wayne and Doug are great guys and supporting members here on tnet. That's my 3rd detector from them and I'm sure not my last.

The Vance phones have awesome sound. They're a little tight on my head but not as tight as the grey ghosts. I guess I have a large melon though.

I feel the same way guys , I love my Deus , It's like so many different detectors in one . I really feel that the wireless setup some how seems to help get rid of the EMI interfierence . The fact that other detectors , having the coil cable wrapped around the shaft causes . I have'nt used my Deus close to any high powered lines yet , and I hoping they don't interfear , I think it will be all realative as I've noticed interfierance with cable search coils also . I also like the tones that the Deus puts out , I have some hearing loss in some ranges and the deuss has filled that gap better than any other detector , I have used . I will be buying the 9" coil soon , as I hunt some rocky areas that the 11" coil can be hard to swing , between the close rocks . I can't wait for the new coil and program that is suppose to be on the way by fall .
