Xlt Depth?

The XLT should get 10" or more on a silver Ouarter.
Newly buried coins don`t read that good/deep so you can`t tell by that, it takes time for a test/coin garden.
The Xlt has very good depth !!

I never could get anywhere near that out of the xlt i had,and back in the early days of treasurenet and other forums i remember very many people reporting getting no more than 4-5" out of their machine..To me it was the weakest machine i have ever owned,put a game boy slot in it and play super mario under a shade tree,,my experience along with many others,,s.t

Was that all you ever got out of an XLT, 4-5 inches? I'm surprised they sold so many. I never owned one but always heard they were good machines.

I recently had a xlt...in my soil which is very good..i was getting dimes at 6-7 inches with the 5.3 coil regularly..i guess it all depends on setup and soil conditions...HH!!

That was about the best i could get out of mine,i tried it for 7-8 months and said screw it as lifes to short to try all the programs that were on the treasurenet back then to try to find a coin over 5",my cz-20 was elbow deep on a few coins,and still is...The whole programing thing sounded fun and if it truly worked with great performance i would have hung onto it,,it did not...s.t
That was with the stock 9.5" coil

If i were looking for a new high dollar machine the v series whites are very interesting indeed.But i'm happy with my gamma 6000 and cz's...

I was getting ready to get rid of my DFX after about a year. I decided to give it one more shot and learned the programming options. Now I love it. The XLT is its cousin. Have to go through a learning curve to enhance the stock programs.
