The XLT should get 10" or more on a silver Ouarter.
Newly buried coins don`t read that good/deep so you can`t tell by that, it takes time for a test/coin garden.
The Xlt has very good depth !!

I never could get anywhere near that out of the xlt i had,and back in the early days of treasurenet and other forums i remember very many people reporting getting no more than 4-5" out of their machine..To me it was the weakest machine i have ever owned,put a game boy slot in it and play super mario under a shade tree,,my experience along with many others,,s.t
