Ok I may have slipped off to do a little detecting for a couple of hours. I decided to take a different approach today. Rather than hunting a spot that I haven't been to, I decided to swing by an older 2 story brick home that I scored 3 Silver dimes at a couple years back. I have hunted this yard with both My CTX, and Equinox 800.
I decided to set the Deus2 up in Deep HC with the notches set to only accept Nickels, Wheats, and up. I didn't want to bother with the Indian range and the trash that goes with them due to My time restraint.
I started in the main front yard. About 5 minutes in I had pulled 3 copper Lincolns. I was trying to learn the way it hit on high conductors, and digging scratchy ones as long as I could get them to come in back and forth, faint ones as well. I had the target volume at 4; Reactivity 1.5; Sensitivity 98.
I started hitting deep Wheats. 6-10". This really surprised Me. I just kept going. By the time I made it to the outer curb strip I had already found 8 Wheats.๐Ÿ˜ณ
By the time I made It to the second pass I got a faint but solid 91-92. Out pops a Merc!! By this time I'm , well , you know๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿผโ€โ™‚๏ธ
So anyway by the time I finished up the front, including curb strips, I ended up with 11 Wheats and 2 Mercs. I don't know what to say. I'm sure I had My other 2 machines dialed in. I just don't know, but very happy with this hunt!!! Silver#15fty!

I have to stop reading posts that involve the Deus II Or hope that my 8 year old Deus I gives up the ghost so I can justify getting the II!
This is the first Deus I've ever used. It's got a good approval here. Wonder if You could sell or trade You 1 in?๐Ÿ˜
Congrats on your Mercs Randy... how did they clean up? :icon_scratch:
I appreciated reading about your experience with the Deus II, as I'm considering buying one next year.
Dave
They cleaned up pretty good. The earlier Wheats always seem to clean up better too. Thanks Dave!!

Very rich soil there (in more ways than one)!

I love the finds! Sounds like you know your machine well. Thanks for sharing ๐Ÿ‘

The prices on the Deus I dropped a good bit when the II came out. I am 71 with a bad back, thanks to an uninsured distracted driver, so I don't know if my very limited hunting time justifies the price of the new Deus. But, the Deus is the only machine I can swing for any length of time.

I understand that! It's a little pricy. Hope it keeps its expectations up. Super light with the control module off. Don't think it's that much more well balanced than the Nox with the control on the shaft. Easy to swing though. I hope good Silvers come Your way!!
