I was itching to get out ! I had a site a bit out of town I wanted to hit . The thunderstorms scattered about our area convinced me to stay closer to home and hit a wooded park I have hunted before ! Though the signals were not abundent and I covered a lot of ground , I made a few good finds ! I found the Ring first and Knew right away it was plated ! It rang high like in th 80% silver coin range . I thought I was clearing a screwcap . It turned out to be marked 14 K G P As I suspected , But still a nice looking ring ! Then I stumbled on a two coin Indian spill with both the 1862 Fatty that is cleaning up nicely and another I do not believe I will get a date from ! I staid in that surrounding area for the next hour and a half and turned up two 19th century buttons and the 1856 Seated Dime ! The dime was down about 9 inches in some soft loamy soil ! It looks Like it did not see a lot of circulation ! I must admit I did the happy dance ! LOL MaineRelic !

if I ever dig a seated anything, I may dance a jig myself. Congrats to you on some very nice finds.

That Seated is breathtaking! Looks to have been dropped almost immediately after being put into circulation!
Indian is good shape too for being in the ground 150 years!

That's a good day...awesome silver

Your tearin' it up MR ! The 1856 Seated dime has an Almost UN Circulated eye candy look about it , looks minty :o dawg

Wow, they are such great finds, I have to find some seated, I need it bad, ha lol

Thanks Dawg ! Yeah the coin did take on an an interesting frosty patina in the ground ! I was shocked to see what looked like luster ! after the coin soaked in warm water with a drop of dawn in it for a spell and then rinsed ! :icon_pirat: Perhaps there was no or very low oxygen levels in this particular soil spot . MR

Great hunt right there !!! That seated is gorgeous !!!

Very nice finds. Congrats on a GREAT hunt.

I want to find a seated so bad... Maybe I should worry about finding my first barber before a seated haha

Nice coin(s)
Nice to have some nearby sites.

Congrats on the great finds- that Seated is sweet! -- Jeff --

Thanks Jeff ! And everyone for your nice comments. ! MR

wow MaineRelic! That seated looks like it still has some luster left! Too bad that ring wasn't solid, but it's still a nice looking piece. You're making some superb finds this year
